Firestone - 211/365

Jim and Greg headed up to Firestone today to check out the tournament.
They left at the crack of dawn, so they could be up there nice and early. They headed out to number two to sit to watch some groups come through for awhile. Greg loves to see just about everyone and that's the best way to see.
After awhile, once Sergio came through, they decided to follow him for a couple holes.
They ended their day just hanging out at the Biergarten lounge right next to a hole, to watch some of the final groups come through. They lounges this year are spectacular! They have these awesome couches and tables to be able to relax in. It's great!
They had a great day. The weather was perfect which made it even better!
Today, Jim's mom had Reagan for the afternoon. I was going to get some yard work done. Adrienne happened to come down with the kids, so they decided to go up to Austintown Park so they could play. They kids had a great time!

Practice Round & a Party - 210/365

Reagan, Nana and I headed up to Firestone today to take in the Bridgestone practice round.
I was hoping we would get there early enough to catch someone super famous and get some pictures.
It wasn't in my wildest dreams, that I thought we would actually catch Sergio just finishing up. If we would have been five minutes later we would have missed him. It was amazing!
He was SO SWEET to us. I asked him if he could take a picture with Reagan and he walked over and said "of course!" He grabbed her, puppy and Mr. Fuzzy right up and smiled away! It was such a special moment. I absolutely LOVE Sergio. He's hilarious and has so much spunk. It was fun to get that close to him! What a way to spend the day.
After awhile, we went down and sat on a par three. Reagan was loving watching them tee off and then putt. Plus, they walked right by and did autographs after putting. Reagan pretty much got everyone's autograph in our program and got lots of pictures with people. Not many as famous as Sergio, but some. It was so fun. She was loving it!
We wandered over to a food booth and next to it, they had these huge sticks you could take pictures with. Of course we had to pose Reagan with Nana's old favorite, Tiger! LOL!
We really had a great day! We want to go again next year!
This evening, Nana, Papa, Jim, Reagan and I were heading over to Andy's parents for a little picnic. Andy and Tiffany were home because Andy was doing a 100 mile race in Cuyahoga Falls. We were looking forward to seeing him. They always have wonderful picnics!
Everyone contributed a food item for the party to lighten the load on Linda and Allen. It worked out great.
We finally got to meet Andy's friend, Tony. We all became friends with Tony of Facebook. He's a celebrity pretty much in the running world, but we never got the chance to meet him. He's as sweet in person as he is on line. He's such a great guy and it was so fun to get to know him a little better.
Of course the Ewings ended the party with Fireworks! We had a great evening at the party.

Rotary Donation & PJ Party Day - 209/365

Today Rotary was proud to give out another check to a deserving cause.
They were able to donate $1000 dollars to the Down Syndrome Association of the Valley. They were so thrilled with the donation and it does so much good for those who need assistance in our valley.
Nana wanted Reagan for the day and overnight for a PJ party, just because! Reagan was excited! She loves going over there.
When Nana picked her up this morning, they headed over to Bob Evans for breakfast. Then back to her house to play. They made a Frozen land with paper shreds. It was super cute!
This evening, they went over to Tippy for dinner. Reagan got her traditional vanilla ice cream with sprinkles to cap off the day!
Today, Brinkley and I decided we were gonna hit the trail. Brinkley loves going! It was nice to just be with him and listen to some music!
This evening, Jim had a meeting with all the other local rotary presidents. They were talking about getting a tent together at the Canfield Fair to try to entice some new people to join. He said it was a successful meeting and it's most likely a "go!" It was a good day!

It was going to be a fun evening tonight! Barb and Pat were in Ohio visiting, so all the "Myers" cousins were going together for dinner!
Jenny, Josh, Jack, Mary Jo, Kathie, Babsie, Janice, Ray, Jenny, Nana, Papa, Jim, Reagan and I all met at Stonebridge to see Barb and Pat. We had a great time visiting and reminiscing about the "gals." It was such a fun night. We all wish we could do it more often!
Good times!

Farm and Movies - 207/365

Today we took a ride down to see Grandma and Grandma Downard. We were actually celebrating some of the summer birthday's, including Jim's. He was so thrilled because he got a Disney gift card. It will be perfect for our upcoming trip! It was a nice little party.
Reagan loves running around their property and exploring. She loves looking for birds nests and playing in the decorative rock border. Nana and Reagan even hosted a dance party on the stage (aka: front porch). It was a hoot!
We had a nice visit with everyone!
This evening, Jim and Reagan were going to hang around the house. They were actually going to do a little roller skating up and down the street. It was so cute.
While they were doing that, Jennifer, Rachel, Nana and I were off to see the Fault in our Stars. Everyone, but Nana, had read the book, so we were excited to see the movie. It was really well done and we were all sobbing by the end. Good thing we brought lots of tissues!
Before the movie, we had a girls dinner at Cheddars! YUM!

Milana's First Birthday - 206/365

Today we were heading up to Ron and Rachel's for Milana's first birthday party!
The theme was "Pretty in Pink." It was so cute! We all participated in the theme and wore pink shirts. It was a great party! They had Charlie's cater the food and it was delicious. For dessert they had the traditional cake and cupcakes, but they also had the Kona Ice truck come! Wow, was that a hit! They kids AND adults absolutely LOVED it! It was great! We had so much fun making our own concoctions.
After, the kids could bounce in the bounce house. They also loved driving around in Parker's big wheels. It was so cute!
To end the party, they had an ice cream cone piñata. They sure loved smacking that thing. They all did great! It was a great party!
Papa drove us back down the street, because a minor little thunderstorm was rolling in. Jim had run Brinkley up to Austintown Park to get a quick walk in, so my car wasn't in the garage. Reagan discovered she could make shadow puppets on the garage wall. She was doing all kinds of crazy dances. It was a hoot!
Jim and Brinkley had a great walk and got back in the car just as the rain started! They were lucky! It was a fun day!

Garden Friday - Bees - 205/365

It was family garden Friday again!
This week the topic was bees. I was a little afraid, since I got stung last year while at the garden. LOL!
We went down and they had lots of fun activities for the kids. They had a little bowling game where they made two liter bottles into bees and they were using a cabbage as a ball. Reagan loved it.
They, of course, planted their weekly flower to bring home. Reagan is loving filling the garden with her plants.
Finally, they made lovely bee craft. Reagan was so proud of hers! Nana and I were excited because they had samples of the honey that the garden's bees made. It was SO delicious!!! We had to go in the main building and buy some! It seriously was THAT good!

Ice Palace and a Hair Do - 204/365

Reagan and Brinkley were still at Nana's today. They were just going to spend the day, so I could mow and get a much needed hair color! They had a fun day playing "ice palace" on Nana's bed and spending some time outside. Reagan just loves helping Nana water all her flowers and feed her birds. It so adorable!
I did my mowing, then I decided to take Crumbles out for a little flower time. He loves to sit on the flowers and drink real nectar. He's such a sweet little thing.
Jim had a pretty standard day at work, although he was a little pooped from the concert last night.
This evening, we just took it easy and had little family cookout. YUM!

Jimmy Buffet - 203/365

It was Buffet day, again!
This was going to be our second go around, this year! We did the limo with Ron and Rachel and everyone, but we still wanted to go again!
We were seeing the First Niagara show tonight. We did our traditional tailgate with subway and a few beers then headed into the show.
The guy at the gate gave me a huge hassle about the camera I ALWAYS bring in. I attend a "few" concerts a year...lol....I know what camera I can bring and what not. Oh well. I went and asked customer service inside if it was a new policy and they said I should have been able to bring it in, and I could go get it if I wanted it. At that point though, it wasn't worth it to go all the way back out to the car.
The concert itself was great! He never disappoints. We just never want the day to come that he finally retires. Summer won't be the same without Buffet!

We had a lovely date night together!
Reagan and Brinkley were having a PJ party at Nana & Papa's. They were going to head over to Tippy tonight for a little dinner and then a spin on a golf cart. That is becoming Reagan's new favorite thing, riding the golf cart! She got all dolled up and they were ready go. But not before, Reagan dressed up Nana, Papa and Brinkley with beautiful flowers in their hair!
To close out their night, Reagan had to stop and see Putter! They had a great time!

Rotary, Gymnastics and a New Alarm - 202/365

Today was an exciting day at Rotary. Emerick Mejia was the special guest today. He was just 12-years-old when rotary provided him with his first hearing aid in Mexico. Rotary was thrilled to see how he has grown and see how well he was doing. It was a special, special day. These are the reasons Jim joined rotary. They do so much good!
Back on the home front, our new alarm system was also getting installed today! It is good to know that is back in business. It helps you sleep A LOT better when you know you have it. It's so fancy how it's all wireless now. We can arm and unarm from our phones, we have remote controls, it's super high tech. We love it!
Reagan was off to gymnastics today. Nana took her, since our new alarm system was being installed. She took a liking to jumping in and out of the donut mat today. She's such a nut. She would just jump in, then peek out!
