Pampering and Packing - 15/365

Today was going to be another busy one.
Jim was off to work to get all his stuff finished. He wasn't going to be terribly busy, because he doesn't procrastinate like me, but he had some loose ends to tie up.
Reagan was off to her last day at school. She was excited. She had a good day and made a cute little craft. She is going to miss her friends, but she can't wait to go away.
After I picked her up at school, we met Nana up at Bob Evan's to have a little brunch. Reagan is all about the themed pancakes, this month it's a snowman. It is so adorable!
After lunch, we went over to Casal's to get mani/pedi's for the trip! It was so relaxing and fun to get all fixed up. You just feel better after a little pampering. Reagan was quite relaxed, too! She even had her arms up and folded at one point. It was adorable!
After that, and ballet, the rest of the day was packing, packing, packing. We were each bringing a suitcase on the ship. Then, shipping a box down to Disney with some other stuff for the second week. It really works out great, plus we have a washer and dryer at Bay Lake! YAY!
Busy, but good day!

Buddies - 14/365

Today was going to be a busy day. I was getting ready for some final preps for the trip.
I woke up to get a few things done on the computer, when I realized my laptop died. UGH! Thankfully, I had just done a massive backup of everything. I try to do it once a month and before we go on a trip. Since I lost some stuff on a bad hard drive awhile ago, I back up to an online site and two external drives. One that Jim keeps at work. I wasn't going to have time to get one before we leave, so that will have to wait.
The electrician was coming today to fix Reagan's lights in her room. He checked everything out and did determine it was the iron that blew the fuse. He said that the line could have been weakened from our lightening strike back in the summer. We ended up having to replace that particular breaker in the fuse box. Another $150 repair. YIKES!
After he left, I was doing the last of the laundry to pack and I slammed my baby toe on the register in the laundry room. I saw stars and swore it was broke. It got black and blue and started to swell. It hurt pretty bad when I was walking around, but I had to keep going. A little while later I went to retrieve the laundry I put in earlier and slammed the same toe one the same register. If it wasn't broke before, it probably was now! YIKES! Hopefully it will be fine for the trip.
Jim's mom took Reagan today, so I could get all this stuff done They had a good time playing at her house.
I don't really have a picture from today, but relating to any of the major events, but I did snap this picture of Reagan and Brinkley this morning when they first got up!

Rotary and School Bells - 13/365

Jim had his rotary meeting today. He is just flying through his presidency. He's already almost half done! He is doing a great job and everyone is so proud of him!
Today, Rotary was able to present a $800 check to Yellow Brick Place of Youngstown. Yellow Brick place helps support cancer patients and their families in a non-medical way during the patients battle with cancer. They do such good in the community for families that are struggling with one of the toughest battles. Rotary was so proud to be able to help them.
Reagan went to school and actually had her first time in aftercare! I had a hair appointment that was going to run over about a half hour, so they walked her down to aftercare. When I went to pick her up. She was sitting at a little table with two other kids eating a graham cracker, drinking a glass of milk and watching a show. She looked perfectly content and even asked if she could finish watching the show before we left. I'm so happy she just loves her little school. They are so wonderful!
She was so proud of her little mitten project she worked on today! She loved matching the colors!
After I picked her up, we decided to go have a little lunch at Wendy's before running a few errands. She is such a great little lunch date!
My hair came out great and I'll be all set for the cruise! LOL!

Burnt up Shirts - 12/365

Reagan was spending the day with Nana today. They were going to run a few errands and do some stuff for the trip. Jim went off to work and I was going to do some stuff for the trip, too!
I was going to spend some time doing our iron on transfers for our shirts for our "family" picture on the ship. We just loved our group shot with our shirts last year, so we wanted to do another.
I did Milana's first with no problems at all. It came out adorable!
Next, I went to do Reagan's and just touched the iron to the shirt for literally two seconds and it started smoking. I lifted the iron up and it had singed the transfer AND the shirt. It was a mess! I hadn't changed any settings from what I always use. It was crazy hot! Bizarre!
I unplugged it and let it sit for awhile. I happen to have a travel iron, so I got that one out to finish ironing the rest. About twenty minutes later, it suddenly got really quiet and I realized Reagan's sound machine turned off in her room. We always leave it running, so it was odd that it got quiet. I went to turn on the light, to see what happened to it and it turns out her room had no power at all. I went in the basement, to see if the breaker needed reset. It was tripped, but wouldn't stay in the "on" position. It was so weird! I'm wondering if the surge in the iron, sent a surge through the line. It's weird because it's not the room I was ironing in that is out and it's only Reagan's room that's out.
We'll have to call an electrician to see what's going on. Bizarre!

OH WOW! - 11/365

Today, Jim and Reagan took a little trip down to OH Wow, while I did a little prepping for the trip. They had a great time and said it wasn't very busy. Which was good! She just loves playing with the scarves and water table. She will do that all day!
She also had a good time playing in the plane today. It's usually got a line of kids waiting to play in it, but today, she got it all to herself. She loved it.
Nana and Papa decided they wanted to have a sleepover with Reagan tonight, so they came to get her after her nap this evening. They were just going to hang around the house and play. They had a great time! She loves her pj parties over there.
Jim and I took advantage of the quiet house and decided to watch a movie. We haven't watched a movie in our house together for ages, so it was a special treat tonight. We decided to watch Flight with Denzel Washington. Probably not the best movie to watch before you get on a plane, but we had wanted to see it when it was in the theaters. We really liked the movie. It was awesome and Denzel was amazing as always. You really wanted to hate him, but couldn't!
We all had a great day!
Reagan flying the plane! Hopefully as good as Denzel did, but without the alcohol. LOL!
 Super scarves!

Frozen on Ice, Lockkeepers - 10/365

Today we were off to see Frozen on Ice in Cleveland! We were so excited to finally see the show. Tickets went on sale back in May of last year, so we have been waiting awhile! Nana, Papa, Jim, Reagan and I were all going! We were pretty pumped because we had front row seats, too! Woo hoo! We got there and were immediately immersed in a winter wonderland. Nana bought Reagan an awesome snowflake wand that lit up in all different colors. She loved it! The show itself was great! It followed the movie pretty closely and only left out one scene or two. Reagan was totally into it and barely moved the whole time! Our favorite characters were the trolls and marshmallow. They looked EXACTLY like the movie. It was awesome!
At intermission, she got her favorite treat, a snow cone cup! She was loving it!
After the show, we went to Lockkeepers for lunch! We all got sandwiches and yummy soup! It was great! The one waitress was super friendly with Reagan and kept asking her to color her a picture from her new Disney on Ice coloring book. Her and Reagan had a fun time chatting.
It was a great day of family fun with some of our newest Disney friends.

Shopping Day! - 9/365

Today, Nana, Reagan and I pounded the pavement doing cruise errands. We were EVERY WHERE! We did get a lot accomplished, which was good! We got a ton done. Reagan has this new found love of posing with the mannequins at the stores. She's always, jumping up on the platforms with them. The was really into posing at Macy's today! Of course, the day your in a HUGE hurry! It was still funny though!

Bailey Back to the Vet & YSU - 8/365

Today, Bailey was actually doing a bit worse. The more we watched him and made him walk around, it seemed as though his back hips were hurting him. We felt so bad for him, that we decided to run him over to the emergency vet. Turns out, they weren't open, so we begged to get back into Dr. Allen.
The same Dr. was in and gave him yet another once over. He felt his bones and stuff and didn't think he had a fracture. He thought maybe he had a soft tissue bruise, so he gave him a shot of cortisone to see if that would alleviate some pain. He also suggested he get started on glucosamine treats.
We dropped Bailey off at home to let his shot kick in. Nana, Reagan and I then went to run some errands. First we stopped at Bob Evans to have some lunch. Reagan just loves their shape pancakes. This month it is a snowman! SUPER CUTE! She was pumped! She gobbled up almost the whole thing!
This evening, Jim was heading to the YSU men's basketball game with his dad. They played Wright State. They ended up losing the game 70-61. They said they had a really fun time and were glad they went.  The roads were a little tricky coming home, but they made it.
Reagan and I spent some time doing Beados and watching Bailey.
The shot was a MIRACLE! He was back to his old self this evening. He's always in the same room as us hanging out and he and Brandy play wrestle a lot, too! He was back to walking all around and torturing her. We're so happy he's doing better! He was so pitiful! Even though he's 15, he still acts like a kitten most days. We hope he sticks around awhile! We love our little buddy!

Bailey Under The Weather - 7/365

Last night when we got home from Ron and Rachel's, Bailey was acting a little funny. He wouldn't eat treats and never came to bed. We decided to watch him a little bit this morning and he wasn't much better. He just kept hiding, which he NEVER does. When he did walk around he moved just like a sloth. We figured we should get him into the vet.
Unfortunately, Dr. Allen was out of town, so we saw the fill in vet. He was nice, but not like Dr. Allen. He said he couldn't really see anything that is wrong, so he ran some blood work and sent him home. They called this afternoon with the results and said everything was fine.
They said to just keep and eye on him and we'll see what happens.
This evening, he was still hiding. I did go find him and make him sit on my lap for a bit. He seemed to like that. Hopefully he'll be better in the morning.
Poor Bailey at the doctor.
Enjoying a little cuddle time.

Back to School, Last Christmas Party - 6/365

Today was Reagan's first day back to school since her Christmas break.
She couldn't wait to go back and see her friends. She got to school and jumped right back in!
They learned all about the month of January and sang some songs about Valentine's day!
She came home with an adorable heart project with hand printed mittens. She was so proud of it!
She was also excited to show me her snowman on display in the atrium. She just loves when her projects are up there.
This evening, we had our annual Christmas get together with Ron and Rachel. We tried to have it before Christmas but with sickness and schedules, it just didn't happen.
We got pizza, had spinach dip and cupcakes! It was all great!
The kids loved opening their presents. Reagan got a princess canvas to paint and a Sofia lip gloss amulet. You can slide different flavored lip gloss in it. It was too cute!!!
We had a great time catching up and talking about our upcoming cruise! We can't wait!
The hallway was decorated with some snowman the kids did. Reagan found hers and wanted her picture taken with him.
Pround of her "Cold Hands, Warm Heart" project.

Nana Day - 5/365

Reagan was going to spend the day with Nana, since she spent the night. They decided to have a pj day since it was so cold outside. They just played legs, beauty shop with her dolls, and did a little fishing! They had a great day.
This evening, they took a trip over to Stone Bridge for dinner with Papa! They had a great time and Reagan, of course, loved her ice cream with sprinkles!
When she got home. She latched on to Brinkley. She just kept hugging and hugging him and saying "I missed you, buddy!" It was so cute!

Christmas Continues & January Birthdays - 4/365

We were off to the farm today to have our Christmas celebration. We were going to do it earlier in the month, but everyone had the funk, so we postponed until today.
Nana and Papa got cavatelli, meatballs, sausage, salad and rolls from LaRocca's in Poland for our meal. It was SO GOOD!
Reagan got a lot of great presents. She was so excited!
We did our traditional $20 boy/girl gift exchange. Jim got some cool tote bags and I got a Bob Evan's gift card and chocolate!
We also celebrated all the January birthday's and Nana's from December today, too! We have four January birthdays on that side of the family! I got a bird house, candle and a Target gift card! I was pumped! LOVE Target!
We had a fun afternoon visiting with everyone!
