Frozen Cookies & Grossi Party - 334/365

This morning Reagan and I decided we were going to bake some cookies from a Frozen cookie kit Nana picked up for her. It was a box that came with sugar cookie mix, a cookie cutter, sugar pictures, and "paint" to decorate your cookies. Reagan is Frozen obsessed, as is the rest of the world, so she was pumped. Her favorite part was painting the cookies with the "paint." It was almost like water colors but edible. She loved it and I must say, they were delicious!
This afternoon, we were heading up to Cheryl and Larry Grossi's for a birthday party for Aunt Veronica and Papa. Papa, unfortunately, couldn't make it due to his fall, but they still went on with the party for Aunt Veronica.
It was so great to see everyone! Cheryl and Larry had quite the spread of pasta, chicken, potatoes, veggies, salad and dessert. Cheryl made little ice cream cones filled with cake and frosting for the kids. They were a hit!
They did have the Browns game on, which turned out to be quite interesting. Brian Hoyer has been struggling the last couple weeks, so they ended up pulling him at half time and put in Manziel. He led the team down the field for a touchdown on his first possession. It was amazing! He didn't do much after that though. They ended up losing the game 26-10. I don't think Johnny is our guy, but we'll have to see!

Decorating, Watermelon Fairy Shopping - 333/365

Today was a lazy day, kind of.
I was going to start putting up all our Christmas decorations, while Reagan and Jim played.
Reagan's new morning chore is feeding Brinkley. She loves doing it and fills up his cup all by himself. They only thing she needs help with is his hip and joint vitamins. She really does great! She makes him shake and spin before he can eat, too! It's adorable!
This morning we all spent a little time playing in the playroom. Brinkley was loving his new monkey toy and Reagan had found a new love for her Watermelon Fairy costume. She wore it last year for Halloween and we kept it for her to play in. She's been wanting to wear it all the time lately. It's pretty funny!
I finally started the decorations and got everything up and then the house cleaned! It all looks great and feels so cozy! I love it!
While I was doing all that, Jim decided to run to Walgreen's to pick up a few things. Since I was knee deep in Christmas, he was going to take Reagan with him. She absolutely REFUSED to take the watermelon fairy costume off, so he ended up taking her in it. It was an absolute HOOT! She wore her pajamas, the watermelon fairy costume over them and her Cinderella slippers. It was great! People probably thought they were nuts! What a memory!

Game night - 332/365

Tonight was game night.
We spent the evening playing all different games. We had a super fun time.
Our two favorites were Hi-Ho Cherry O and Chutes and Ladders. Reagan won and both games! She was so proud. I lost miserably at Chutes and Ladders. I barely got off the second row! Every time I moved up, I had to slide back down!
The cutest thing was, we always had to have someone play for Brinkley. Reagan insisted!
It was one of the best ways to spend an evening! Love game night!
Intense in her Hi-Ho Cherry O game!

Thanksgiving! - 331/365

Thanksgiving today!
We are so thankful for so many things, but especially our families! We got to see both sides today which was great!
We started at Grandma and Papa Greg's. We had a great visit and lots of yummy food! The company was great, too! Adrienne was in town this year, but Jake took the kids to Baltimore. We missed them, but are sure they had fun visiting his family. Frank and Judy were there this year, too! It was a nice time!
This afternoon, we went over to Nana and Papa's. It was a super small crowd this year, since the seniors don't travel well anymore. It's kind of sad. We still had fun though. It was just Nana, Papa, Raymond, Jennifer, Jim, Reagan and I. We had an awesome feast and were all stuffed! After dinner we just sat around and chatted. It was a wonderful, quiet Thanksgiving.
This evening, Jim was going to go down to the Draft House to meet some friends who were in town for the holiday. He took his car since there was no snow in the forecast, but to his surprise, it was an absolute blizzard when he got out of there.  His car is HORRIBLE in the snow, so he was immediately nervous. He ended up trying to take Mahoning Ave home, got stuck on a big hill and had to take a side street, that ultimately put him on 680. He could barely see on 680 and people were all bailing onto Meridan Road. He ended up in a fire station parking lot, and hung out there for nearly an hour until the road crews could clear the roads. Even after the first layer of salt, it was still a mess. By the time he got home, over two hours had passed from the time he left the bar, to the time he pulled in the driveway. It was so nerve wracking for him especially, but for me sitting at home worrying about my husband, too. He kept texting and calling keeping me in the loop, so that helped. I'm just thankful he made it home OK.
We had a great Thanksgiving counting all our blessings. We love our families!

Brinkley Hair, Chili's Computer - 330/365

Today Brinkley had a beauty appointment! He always smells so great when he goes! Just like a powder puff!
While he was there, Reagan, Nana and I decided to grab a quick lunch. We hadn't been to Chili's for awhile and were hungry for their chips and salsa. They had these new cool iPad type things on each table. You could order food, drinks and even pay your bill! Reagan was excited because you could play games, too! It sure kept her busy during lunch. She didn't want to leave!

School Thanksgiving, Turkey Pops, School Pictures - 329/365

Today, they were celebrating Thanksgiving at school! They were going to learn all about it and sing some songs! They even baked corn bread together. They loved it and got to eat it for their snack. Reagan said it was delicious.
For their crafts, they made a beaded turkey necklace and pilgrim hats. They were all wearing them when we came to pick them up. It was too cute!
Last night, I made little turkeys out of tootsie pops for the kids in her class. I was so happy to see all the kids coming out of the class clutching their little treats. They loved them!
Reagan actually carried hers around all day. We went running errands after school and she never put it down. LOL!
Another exciting thing was, we finally got Reagan's preschool pictures back! They came out super cute! I was so happy! The group shot is pretty funny. Getting 17, three-year-olds to look at the camera is not an easy task. It is super cute, too!

Pictures and WINDY - 328/365

This morning, I was taking some first birthday pictures for Deanna! Baby Mike is ONE! I can't believe it. It seems like yesterday I was taking his newborn photos. Time flies.
They went really well! He is such a happy little guy, that it made it so easy!
While we were taking pictures Reagan and Violet were playing in the playroom. They had an awesome time playing dress-up. When they were getting ready to leave, Reagan burst into tears because she didn't want her to go. It was so sad!
Just as they were leaving, the wind REALLY started to pick up. It was crazy. The garage started to fill up with leaves. I bet we swept two full black bags of leaves out of there!
Our trampoline actually tipped over and was under the swings out by the play set. It was nuts. I ended up moving it up in the trees away from the wind, so it wouldn't blow far away.
We went and had a quick lunch, then we went to let out Dexter for Ray and Jenny. When we pulled in their driveway, one of the chairs on their front porch was in the driveway! When we let Dexter out the back door, we found on of the cushions for the chairs on the front porch, in the back yard. It was nuts!
Thankfully we never ended up with any major damage.
Happy Birthday, Baby Mike!

Recovery, Browns and Lots of Cheese! - 327/365

Today we were just going to hang around the house and let Reagan recover from her illness. She seemed like a new person after her medications started working. She was a little bit tired, but all smiles this morning. We just watched a bunch of TV and played a little.
This afternoon, Jim and I made our traditional veggie and cheese tray for the Browns game.
They were playing the Falcons and WON 26-24. WOW!  Hoyer was a little shaky during the game, but they ended up pulling it out with a last minute drive. Cundiff, made the game winning field goal, for once! It was a miracle! Brinkley was happy since they scored 26 points. He got lots of celebratory cheese! When we watch games at home, we give Brinkley a cheese cube any time the score! He doesn't get much, so it's quite a treat when he does get some! LOL!
This evening before bath, we played Reagan's pop up palace game! She beat me fair and square! It was fun! So glad she's feeling better!

Brinkley Paint, Urgent Care - 326/365

We were taking Brinkley to his very first painting class today!
Wonderstruck was having a doggie paint day. You could bring in your dog to paint on pottery, plates, whatever you'd like. We chose a little treat jar to sit on our counter!
Thankfully, there were only two other dogs there at the time, so it wasn't too crazy. We got him to do two perfect paw prints! It worked out great! We wrote his name on it, and decorated it a little bit. It really turned out nice! It was fun!
Reagan wasn't feeling the best, but she still wanted to go. She was complaining of an ear ache as we were leaving. By the time we were finished, she was sobbing that her ear hurt. I felt so bad that her ear hurt, and that she didn't get to enjoy the paint as much as she would have. She just loves Brinkley and getting him to do anything makes her day.
From there, we took her home and got her settled in some pjs for a nap. She ended up sleeping for two and a half hours. We hoped it would do her good. She woke up OK, but it wasn't long before she starting crying again and started to run a fever. By eight, she was so upset that she made herself throw up, so we whisked her away to urgent care.
They saw her pretty quickly and diagnosed her with a sever ear ache. They ended up giving her an antibiotic shot in her bum, to help it work more quickly.
She did finally calm down a bit and they gave her a Popsicle to have, since we had to wait 20 minutes to make sure she didn't have a reaction to the shot. That perked her up quite a bit. Jim ran across the street to Walgreen's to grab a few things while we waited. He ended up bringing her a stuffed My Little Pony doll. She was so excited!
Hopefully after her shot and a good nights sleep, she'll feel better in the morning. We sure hate when she's sick. She was so pitiful.

Gymnastics - 325/365

Reagan was still at Nana's this morning. She was going to spend the rest of the day over there, since Mark was still here painting. He was coming along nicely! He got the whole foyer done and our bathroom looks so much better with our modern mirrors! I just love them!
It was hell getting that giant mirror out of the house though! It had to be 8-10 feet long and HEAVY! We have to call someone to cut it in half to get it out of the house. Jim and Mark almost killed themselves trying to carry it down stairs. They got it halfway and said forget it.
It's not worth them getting hurt over.
Reagan and Nana spent the morning playing Hi-Ho Cherry-O before gymnastics. They had a great morning.
Reagan is really doing wonderful in gymnastics. She's come such a long way from when she started. She can do so much on her own now. We're so proud of her!
