When Reagan woke up today, she was running a 102 fever.
At that point, there was no school in her future. I called the doctor as soon as they were open and they were able to squeeze her in at one. This morning, we just laid around the house watching television and cuddled up under blankets. It was so nice.
I loaded her up in the car at 12:30 to head over to the doctors office. We weren't in the car two minutes and she was out cold, she snoozed the whole way there.
The doc checked her out and ran a flu test, which thankfully, came back negative. He said she may just have a virus. He said if her fever didn't break in a day or two, to bring her back, because the flu may just not have fully developed to show in the test.
Poor thing fell asleep on the way home again! She never sleeps that much.
We got home and I put her down for a nap and she ended up sleeping for two and a half hours. That was wonderful for her to get that much rest.
This evening, Jim and I felt bad leaving her, but we had gotten tickets awhile back for Sister Hazel. Nana and Papa said it was no problem watching her and didn't mind that she was sick. They just curled up and watched Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. By 8:00 her fever had broke and they said she was back to her normal self, giggling and dancing. We were so happy!
The concert itself was great! It was at a newer place called the Music Box Supper Club in the Flats. It's an awesome place to see a concert. They have floor to ceiling windows overlooking the river. The barges kept going by. Everybody had assigned seats at tables or little bar along the wall. We had a wall bar table, and it was right up on the side of the stage. They were great seats. Sister Hazel always puts on a great show. We love them!
After the show, they always just hang around and talk with the fans. We got to have our picture with Ken Block and Drew Copeland! It was awesome! They are so sweet and down to earth!
We were thankful for a nice date night out and thankful Reagan was doing better.
