Greg's BBQ - 220/365

Today was Greg and Nikki's annual cousin's BBQ!
It's always such a fun time!
Greg, with the help of Frank and Sean, cook up ribs, chicken and steak. Then everyone else brings a side dish! It's quite the spread!
They always get a couple tents to put in the back yard to sit and eat at. It works out great!
This year they rented a bounce house from Austintown bounce. This was such a hit with all the kiddos. They spent almost the entire party in it! It worked out fabulous!
Another hit the was the motorized jeep at the neighbors. The kids had a blast driving it around and they were all bickering over who got to drive next. It was too funny! It was a great day and a great time!
The Chefs!
Who gets to drive next?
 Bounce house!

Bras and Bouncing - 325/365

Today, Nana, Reagan and I ran some errands.
We went to the Gymboree and were disappointed, yet again, with the new line. Ugly, UGLY stuff! YUCK!
After the mall, we had a lunch at "Marianne's Restaurant", aka - LaRocca's. Reagan and the daytime server, Marianne, are best friends. Reagan always has to say "bye" even if she's not in the room when we leave.
Later, I wanted to run in Khols to get some new long johns for the freezing football game this weekend. They have the long johns near the women's undergarments. My mom and I were checking out all the different styles and weights of the long johns saying, "Oh, this one is nice! How bought this one?" When all of a sudden, Reagan blurts out, loudly, "Is this one nice!?" Here, she was holding up a BRA! We about DIED laughing! It was the cutest thing!
We also stopped in the regular woman's shirt section to look at a few tops. Reagan picked up a white shirt with little black Scotty dogs all over it. She proceeded to ask, "Does Daddy want this?" I sent Jim a picture of it, but he said it wasn't his size. LOL! Very funny shopping trip to Khols today!
This evening, Jim took Reagan over to the Austintown Bounce to blow off some steam. They had a great time and spent nearly two hours there. I got a bunch of chores done while they were gone. Pretty good, FUNNY day!
The photo of the day is Reagan holding up the bra she thought was nice....
 Next, Jim's holiday shirts....
Finally, Reagan enjoying some bounce time.

Library, Bouncing & Thirty-One - 289/365

It was just a typical Wednesday, household chores and errands.
This evening, Nana and I, attended a Thirty-One party at Sharon's. Laura was hosting it for a good friend of theirs, who's husband is having some medical issues. It was a great little party with lots of yummy snacks. We had a fun time and of course, it's always fun to shop. Thirty-one has the best bags. We did a lot of damage to the pocket books. LOL!
While we were shopping and socializing, Jim and Reagan went to Austintown Bounce. Reagan, of course, made tons of friends. Jim said they were just like a little gang running around. There was one little girl, around eight, that almost acted like Reagan's babysitter. She would say to Jim, "Do you have her or do I have her?" Jim would say, "You guys are fine, have fun!" The little girl would bend down to Reagan and ask, "What do you want to do now, honey?" It was the sweetest thing. She had a great time bouncing away with her friends.
After they were done bouncing, they popped over to the Austintown Library to pick out some new books. We hadn't been in awhile, so it was a great time to go. Especially, since the weather is turning and it's getting dark so early, it will be nice to cuddle up with a book. When they got there, they spent a little time playing with the learning toys. Then, they read a couple books while they were there. After that, they picked out two Thanksgiving books and a book about being an astronaut to bring home. She really does love to read, we are so happy!
The photo of the day is Reagan enjoying the library. She's a little wet, because there was a monsoon tonight...LOL!
Next, is Reagan at the "bouncy place."

Bouncing & Playing - 261/365

Brinkley got a wonderful surprise today!
Awhile back, he ripped the arm off his favorite duck. Reagan picked out for him for his birthday and was so bummed that it was broke and wanted it fixed. A lot of people offered to fix it, but Jim's mom happened to be over a day or two later, and took it home to try to do surgery.
Well today, she brought him back and he was good as new! I swear he remembered his favorite duck, because he grabbed it and ran around the living room like crazy!! He played with it the rest of the day.  He was thrilled! It was so sweet of her to go through all that trouble for Brinkley.
Grandma and Reagan had a good afternoon together, while I got some other stuff done. They played with her barn, played makeover in the tent, and read some books.
This evening, Jim and Reagan went over to Austintown Bounce, while I cut the grass. Jim said there were only two other kids this evening. A little boy that was six and a little girl that was four. Reagan went right over to them and started talking. They became fast friends and they played so good together. They never asked Reagan her actual name, so they just called her, "little girl." They would just say, "Come on, little girl!" They just ran and ran and ran and bounced and bounced!
After awhile, their dad came over with three balls he had won in the claw machine and gave Reagan and his two kids each a ball. How nice!
After they left, Jim and Reagan played some video games. Jim was so proud, because it was their first arcade game that they played together!
When they were done with that, Jim decided to try his luck at a claw game. He had never been able to win anything in one of those before. Well tonight, he won a package of Silly Bands. Reagan just loved them!
The photo of the day is Brinkley celebrating his mended duck! Thanks, grandma!
Next, is Reagan holding her silly bands up, at daddy's new favorite claw machine!

Swimming and Bouncing - 197/365

Wow, what a heat wave. It was another scorcher today!
Nana, Reagan, Brinkley and I hit the Kirk Road trail again this morning. We of course, were a sweaty mess, so we decided to go and take a dip at the Tippy Pool. Neither one of us had been in that pool since I was in High School, I bet! It was so refreshing and we had the whole place to ourselves! There were a few people finishing up a lesson when we got there, but then finished up and left. It was so nice! Reagan just loved it! We'll have to do that more often for sure!
When were were done there, we grabbed lunch at the club and ran a few errands.
When Jim got home, he took Reagan to Austintown Bounce for a little bit. It was a nice air conditioned activity to blow off some steam. He said there were actually a lot of people there. Some of the kids were older than Reagan, but she kept right up!
When they got back, we went on a little stroll around the neighborhood...it was HOT!
I had decided to fill up the pools for the next day, while they were at the bounce around. When we got back from our stroll, I realized I had set up the "leaner" pool! We're keeping it for Brinkley, but I hadn't marked the good vs. bad pool. I was sad to lose nearly 300 gallons of fresh water, and my flowers happened to need watering, so I shuttled water from the pool to my flowers. What a chore that was! But, at least I got an extra little workout in! LOL! I got the water level low enough that the pool was not leaning as much and we still should be able to play tomorrow. It's going to be another hot one!
The photo of the day is Reagan hanging out at the Tippy pool all alone...
The extra, is Reagan peeking at daddy from the bouncer...

Hi, I'm Joey! - 118/365

It was a rainy, April day.
It started in the morning and kept up all day. We just planned to hang around the house. I had some organizing and packing to do in Reagan's room, so Jim and Reagan just played downstairs, while I did that. At one point though, she did say, "Dada, I want to watch Ariel with mine princesses." She ran to her Mickey chair, plopped down with her Ariel, Belle and Snow White dolls and watched half of The Little Mermaid.
After nap time, Jim said he was going stir crazy, so he and Reagan hit up Austintown Bounce while I did some more chores. Reagan is all about the "bouncy place!" She loved the one at Ed and Pam's and she loves this one, too! Jim said there was no one there except one other couple with a little boy. He said all of a sudden this little boy came over, shook his hand and said, "Hi! I'm Joey. Can I show her a fun bounce house?" After that, I guess Reagan and Joey just had a ball. They went in all the bounce houses and Reagan just chased after him yelling "Joooooeeeeeyyyyyyy!" LOL! I really would have given anything to see it!
When she got home her little cheeks were all red! Daddy had already filled me in on her little boyfriend, so I asked her, "Who did you play with at the bouncy place?" At first she said, "Emma & Noah", she must have been having flashbacks...LOL! Then she said, "Joey!"
It was so nice of Daddy to get her out of the house to blow off some steam! Such a good daddy!
