Back to Reality - 133/365

It was back to reality today...chilly reality! It was only in the 50's today...brrrr!
Laundry was waiting, along with all the other household responsibilities.
My mom, Reagan and I ran down to the Dutch Hause to enjoy their salad bar, before going on a walk. We finished up lunch, went to pick up Brinkley and hit the trail. We wanted to try to walk off some of the beach food...LOL! We got to the park and realized that we forgot the stroller! Reagan is a good walker, but not that good...LOL! It was getting close to her nap time, so we just headed back to the house and walked around the neighborhood.
When Jim got home, the three of us went and walked the three mile trail, that didn't happen earlier. It felt good to get back to the trail, after a week of stuffing ourselves at restaurants with yummy food and desserts. Not to mention, the yummy cookies Aunt Pam brings and all the margaritas, wine and beer. Jim and I both feel like we gained five pounds! It was fun though! We both lost a few pounds before we left for the beach, now we feel like we gained it back! UGH!
For dinner tonight, we wanted to get back to our diets and eating healthy, so I just made some huge salads with some chicken noodle soup. They were yummy and felt kinda refreshing!
The photo of the day is our salads....it's not filet and chocolate volcano cake, but it works!

New Year, New You - 1/365

Well, it's January first and all across America, at least 75% of people are saying they want to try to be more healthy and maybe even shed a few pounds. Here at the Cvetkovic house, we're no different. Today, Jim and I made a pact to be more healthy and to kick start our healthy habits we decided to try the "3 day Military Diet". It's basically preplanned meals that you follow for three days to help boost your metabolism and boost your weight loss.
So, the picture today is of our first HEALTHY breakfast of the new year. We dined on a half of a grapefruit and toast with peanut butter, washed down with some tea. I have to say, it was really good and we really were satisfied!
Here's to day one of the new US! Happy New Year!
