Violet Visit & Arrivals - 121/365

Today was going to be a busy one. We had all kinds of arrivals happening!
Ed and Pam were getting in around 11:00 and Ray and Jenn were due in from the airport around 4:00! It so exciting once everyone arrives.
This morning, Nana and I did an early morning shelling walk. We didn't find much except a dead pelican. Yuck.
Violet, Deanna and her mom were going to come down to North Beach to hang out for a little bit this morning. The girls spent some time jumping in the waves, playing in the sand and swimming in the pool. They loved jumping off the side of the pool at the same time. It was a hoot. We had a nice time.
We went up had some lunch, then Reagan, Nana and I went back down to the inlet for a little before nap time. We didn't find much there either.
Ray and Jenn finally texted that they were there, so we went down to the garage to let them in. When we went around the corner they had little beach headbands on. It was SO CUTE! Loved it!
This evening we were having our first family fun dinner at Bistro 90. It was a first for everyone but Nana and Papa. The food was delicious, but the dinner was a little long. Almost three hours. Whew! If we go again, we'll ask to speed it up. It was worth the wait though. Fun first day at the beach!

Shopping Trip and Inlet Exploring - 125/365

This morning we hit the inlet for a little while.
We found some cool stuff as usual. Reagan and I both, get so into exploring there. You never know what you may find. Her favorite find is the little black snails. She will get a whole bucket full. We set them free before we go, but she loves to collect them....LOL!
This afternoon, Papa and Jim were off to play golf at Possum Trot, while the girls were going to do a little shopping at Tanger Outlets. I wanted to hit the Croc and Disney stores! We have fallen in love with Crocs for Reagan and I, not only are they comfy, but they will be great for kicking around the yard and watering all the flowers this summer. I got her a pair before we left for the beach and she doesn't want to take them off, so I wanted to get her a couple more colors, and grab a pair for me! LOL!
Next, we hit the Disney store, looking for the ever elusive Elsa 12" doll. No go, but I found some cool tumblers, popsicle molds, and a cool beach tote!
The guys had a great time and play some great golf. They were happy! This evening, we went to have dinner at another favorite, Carolina Roadhouse. We just love the atmosphere in there with the palm trees. They have great food, too!
Another perfect day at the beach...

Inlet Exploring and Chianti's - 124/365

Today, we spent the morning exploring the inlet with Ray and Jenny before they had to take off for the airport.
The tides were super low this year, even at high tide, so it was fun to walk around. We chased down a couple blue crabs, before we finally got a couple. Jenny and I caught some at the same time. We had fun playing with them on the shore. They are fiesty little buggers, they were snapping away at us! We finally let them get on with their lives and headed back upstairs.
Turns out, Ray and Jenny's flight got cancelled, so they ended up having to drive home from Myrtle, since Jennifer HAD to be at work the next day. We felt so bad for them.
The rest of the day was spent swimming and drinking Bahama Mama's YUM! This evening, we had dinner at one of our favorites in Myrtle, Chianti's! They have the best Italian food. We always get a little side room to ourselves, so it's so FUN! We always have a lot of laughs there.
After dinner, we explored the huge trees in the side yard. Reagan was fascinated! Perfect day! The photo of the day us with the HUGE tree....
Next, Jenny and I with our crabs...
