Last Day at the Beach - 128/365

Nana and Papa were heading home today.
The rest of us decided we would stay and drive home Sunday. Reagan was devastated that more people were leaving. She hyperventilated cried. It was pitiful! We finally got her cheered up with some swimming!
But before they left, Nana and I headed out for a morning shelling adventure! It was pouring and windy, but we had a blast! We didn't find anything overly unusual. But we had to try!
Even with Tropical Storm Anna looming out there, it was still pretty sunny today. We got some good beach and pool time in! YAY! It was great!
This evening, we just got a pizza and got most everything packed up.
Uncle Eddie had pinky promised Reagan that he would swim with her, so this evening, we did get him in the pool. Reagan was thrilled and was loving showing him all her moves in the pool. It was so fun!
After swimming, we got all dried off and headed upstairs for shadow puppet time. Last year, Reagan was amazing by some shadow puppets Eddie made and she wanted him to do it again. We had got him a book for Christmas, so he was ready! They were a lot harder than it looked! Aunt Pam ended up being the shadow puppet master. We were all laughing so hard we had tears rolling down. It was a blast. Reagan loved when Ed and Pam made shadow puppets together and were trying to eat each other. Too funny! It was a perfect last evening at the beach.

Sand Dollars, Mermaids & Pirates - 127/365

Busy day today!
Nana and I got up at 6:00am and headed out to the beach. I has still been unlucky in my sand dollar search, until this morning. I FOUND TWO perfect ones. I was absolutely amazing. I was jumping up and down and screaming. I couldn't believe it!
I will cherish them!
The rest of the day was going to be a pool/beach day. We just wanted to soak every minute up before the tropical storm started to roll in.
We had a blast! Reagan was LOVING swimming this year. She loved taking her swimmies off in the shallow end, since she could touch now. We had tons of fun with the water camera, too!
After we hit the pool for awhile, we went up for lunch and the second half of the day would be the beach.
Reagan is really into all things fairies now a days, so she wanted to bring her Tinkerbell outfit and all her fairies. We did a little photoshoot on the beach. It was so cute.
After we spend some time building things in the sand and jumping in the waves. They were getting pretty big from the storm! Reagan saw about teenaged girls, doing handstands and flips on the beach, so she wanted to try, too! Jim was helping her, it was just precious. She loves gymnastics!
This evening, we wanted to do another quick dinner, since the Cavs were on again. We decided to take in the Pirate's Voyage show. It's fairly new in Myrtle, but Reagan has just been too young. We decided this would give it a go. We were SO HAPPY we did. The show was phenominal! They theatrics and animal actors were amazing. Reagan even got picked to be in the show! Jim and another guy had to pull a rope attached to a boat. The kids were in there and floated across the water. Their group even WON! YAY!
Reagan also got a mermaid makeover at the beginning. She was LOVING it! She looked so beautiful.
Fun day!

Bye Britts - 125/365

It was a sad day today. Ray and Jenny had to head home from the beach. Boo!
Reagan was devastated they were leaving. She went and stood by the door with her arms up, so the couldn't get out. Nana joined in on the fun, too. After they left, she went over to the table where her toys are and was wiping her eyes. I asked her what was wrong and if she was crying. She said "No, there is just water coming out of my eyes." It was so pitiful. She loved having them here. We all did!
We did get our last shelling walk in though. We even found Barbie who thought Myrtle was a nude beach. Crazy! LOL!
This afternoon, Jim and Papa were heading over to Barefoot Landing to play the Fazio course. Jim said they had a good time and played with two other guys who were super nice. He forgot to take a picture though. Boo!
Nana, Pam, Reagan and I took a quick ride down to Myrtle Manor, but didn't see anyone.
We headed back to the condo and did a quick swim before nap. Loving the weather this year. It's just perfect.
Reagan also spent a TON of time playing with her Fairy Tube that Uncle Eddie bought her. She just LOVES them!
This evening, we were doing a quick dinner over at LaFesta, so we could get back for the Cavs game. We had an awesome waitress from Russia. She was fantastic and took great care of us!
It was another perfect day on the beach!

Myrtle Turtle - 124/365

We were going to head down to Broadway at the Beach today to ride some rides.
Reagan was so excited because we were going to meet Violet. The girls had an absolute blast riding everything. We spent a good three hours just letting them go on everything! They hit everything at least five times!
I think their favorite was the Myrtle Turtle, of course, because it spun you and adults had to go with them! LOL! We all took a turn getting spun around.
After rides, we went over to Margaritaville to have some snacks and a few beverages. They have us these little wax straw things that you could mold into things. Jenny was an expert and made all kinds of things. Our favorite was the fancy beverage!
This afternoon, we took a dip in the pool.
Tonight was Clarks night at the marina. We love it there! SO yummy!

Shelling Adventure - 123/365

Today it was a shelling day!
Ray, Jenny, Pam and I headed out on a morning shelling walk over by Briarcliff. We found a HUGE dead Horseshoe Crab. I flipped it over to make sure it was dead and it was. It was pretty much just the shell. We wanted Raymond to pick it up, so we could take a picture for scale. We kept chatting at him to "pick it up, pick it up, pick it up." We were howling. He finally did and we got a great pic. LOL!
This afternoon, we were heading down to Georgetown for a shelling adventure! It's about an hour ride, so Raymond, Jennifer and Reagan watched the Bear movie. LOL!
We were doing a tour with Rover tours. They take you out to a deserted beach where you could find all kinds of cool shells. The boat ride to the island was a little wet and chilly, but it was still a beautiful day. Once we got to the island it was perfect! The sun was shining and big blue skies.
We were the first ones off the boat and I found some GORGEOUS shells. I was thrilled! Everyone found some cool stuff!
It was so fun to walk around the island just exploring. We could have stayed all day.
We were originally going to head to Drunken Jacks for dinner, but we were all a little tired. We decided to get some pizzas and wings from Mellow Mushroom and head back to the condo to watch the Cavs playoff game. We were so glad we did. We had a great time hanging out. Lots of laughs.
When the game was over, Reagan and Jim went swimming in the lazy river for a bit, so Raymond, Jenny, Nana and I went down to watch them. Raymond and I got into a game of checkers on the river island. I ended up winning the hard fought battle.
It was a great day!

Beach Day & Chianti - 122/365

Today was going to be a beach/pool day. Everyone just wanted to hang around and chill. It was nice!
Ray, Jenn, Nana and I headed out on our early morning shelling adventure. We didn't find much, but it's always fun searching!
When we got back, Reagan and Jim were up, so we all grabbed our suits and hit the pool for awhile! Reagan is just doing so great in the water. She loves jumping off the side. It's so funny!
Next, we hit the beach again for a little boogie boarding and kite flying. Reagan was a little apprehensive going in the bigger waves, but she still loved being pulled around!
This evening we were doing our traditional Sunday dinner at Chianti. We had a private room again and had a blast. We also laugh a lot there. Must be something in the air. Reagan wanted to sit by Jenny and they had a great time coloring!
Fun day!

Mother's Day - 131/365

Waking up in Beckley is a Mother's Day tradition for us and I wouldn't have it any other way.
It's great waking up and cuddling with my two favorite people.
We're never in a huge hurry to get going, it's nice. We lay around and then they usually surprise me with a couple presents. This year, I got a DVD, a Yankee Candle gift card, so I could get all my summer candles. I also got a little stuffed Scout from the Disneynature Bears movies. I loved him!
We finally packed it up, hit the McDonald's and were on our way! We got home right on schedule. I unpack immediately and start laundry. I can NOT relax until stuff is put away or waiting in laundry baskets for the wash. I'm strange.
I got home to a few more suprises, too! My mommy gave me a Disney Gift Card. Jim's mom gave me an iTunes gift card. There was also a beautiful hanging basket on my hook from Ray and Jenny! I'm a pretty lucky girl!
It was a perfect Mother's Day for me!
Love being a mommy to this sweet little girl!

Bye Beach - 130/365

It was our last afternoon at the beach, before we head for home.
I got up early and did my solo shelling walk, while Reagan and Jim slept in. This morning, there seemed to be a lot of interesting stuff going on. I was finding lots of cool stuff, when I stumbled on a teeny tiny starfish. He was so stinking CUTE! I scooped him up and checked him out. I noticed his underside was moving around. I was happy to see he was, in fact, alive. After I took some pictures, I put him back in the water. Hope the little guy makes it. He was so amazing to see.
Once Reagan and Jim got up, they met me in the inlet for a little exploring. We caught another blue crab, along with more black snails. Reagan was excited!
After that, we went up to hit the pool one more time, before heading up to finish packing.
Papa always gets the condo for an extra night, so we can all hang around most of the day instead of rushing out before 11. That way, we can usually stay till around two, and still make it to Beckley for a late dinner! It works out great!
We headed out and had a pretty uneventful drive. Reagan napped and watched movies. She was perfect!
We got to Beckley right on schedule, dined at Applebees and hit the hay, before our last five hours into home tomorrow.
Another amazing trip in the books!
The photo of the day is my little starfish friend....

Last FULL Beach Day -129/365

It was our last full beach day today and we were getting a little sad.
We were going to try to pack everything into today, that we could.
We started at Broadway at the Beach because we wanted to get Reagan on a few rides. We walked around for a bit before the rides opened. That was fun!
Reagan loves the little rides. She was sad in the car on the way there though. She asked, "Can we ride the 'Jasmine' ride?" We told her, no, because it wasn't there. She got really quiet, so a few minutes later I turned around and saw little tears and a pouted up face. She was devastated. We had to explain that this wasn't Disney and we ride in airplanes to get there. After that, she was perfectly fine and was happy with what rides were there.
She ended up riding them all, and a few times, but her favorites where the race cars and the airplanes. The race cars were a little "dare devilily" for a three-year-old, but she loved it!
She got to ride the train as the conductor and even took Nana for a spin! It was a HOOT!
Papa rode the Frog Hopper with her, too! She had a blast!
After the rides, we hit Margaritaville for a little lunch! YUM! We each got "booze in a blender" souvenir cups. FUN!
The rest of the day was beach and pool!
This evening, was our "picnic night". Our last night we just hang around the condo and get pizza. It's so nice not to have to get dressed up. We just chill and do some minor packing.
Tonight, Uncle Eddie put on a shadow puppet show for Reagan. She was LOVING it! She was belly laughing and he came up with some awesome puppets. It was a hoot! A perfect way to spend the evening! We've had another amazing trip!
The photo of the day is Papa and Reagan on the Frog Hopper.
Next, Uncle Ed's shadow puppet!

Alligator Adventure - 128/365

It was another busy beach day today!
Jim, Reagan and I checked out Alligator Adventure this morning! We just love that little place. It's right across the street from the condo, so from the time we leave till we get back is usually an hour and a half. Reagan LOVES it. It was quite exciting when we first walked in today though. We watched an alligator, catch a bird, that was in a lower bush nearby. Then, all the other alligators where chasing him trying to get it for themselves! It was gross and fascinating all at the same time!
We of course stopped to see our tortoise friend, too. We always stop and Reagan loves giving him big hugs and kisses. She was all concerned this year, since he had a "boo boo" on his chin. We convinced her, he'd be OK.
After alligator adventure, we hit the pool for awhile.
Then, Pam, Nana and I hit the spa, while the rest of the crew napped. The spa was AMAZING. We each got massages and were totally chilled out after. It was wonderful! They give you wine after, so we hung around sipping wine and just chatting in the "meditation room."
This evening we were hitting Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Another one of our yearly traditions and favorite spots! Our food was delicious and we kept a close eye on the Browns draft while we ate. Super fun day! The photo of the day is the alligator scuffle.
Girls at the spa!
