Walking Brinkley - 86/365

Not too much going on today!
Jim had a good, but typical day at work. I worked around the house.
Reagan had a play day with grandma. They did a little shopping and played. They had a good time!
This evening, it was nice enough for a little stroll down the street. Reagan just loves walking Brinkley, so she was thrilled to get back out there and walk him! They just went down to the end of the caul-de-sac and back.

Light Up Leash - 15/365

I always worry about Jim and Brinkley when they go on their evening walks in the winter, since it's dark so early. People FLY around our neighborhood. They really do go too fast sometimes.
At Christmas time, I stumbled on this dog leash that lights up! I don't think Jim overly likes it, but I make him use it, so people can see them! He's been pretty good about using it.
This evening, they went out on their nightly walk, so I popped out to get a pic!
The photo of the day is the Jim, Brinkley and the light up leash.

Saturday Fun Day - 306/365

Saturday Fun Day!
We started just lounging around the house this morning, watching cartoons. We also played a game of Princess Candyland, which Brinkley and Reagan both, beat Jim and I. LOL! It was a hoot.
Around 11:00, Jim and Brinkley set off to the farm, so Brinkley could run. He had been cooped up the last couple days, so Jim wanted him to have a little fun.
Reagan and I, went with Nana and Mary Jane to the three mile trail and took a little stroll. The leaves were absolutely gorgeous! We kept stopping along the way saying, "Wow, that's pretty!" and snapping a few pictures. MJ even made friends with a little dog named, Winston.
After our walk, we went to have some lunch at Steamers. We got to introduce MJ to our favorite "dippy" in town, crab dip! It is to die for! We LOVE it! We had a great lunch and we were all STUFFED!
After lunch, Reagan and I came home for nap time and Jim went over to his parents to watch the YSU game. They enjoyed sitting around inside to watch a game for once. YSU ended up winning, in an exciting back and forth game. They scored a touchdown in the last 10 seconds of the game for the WIN! This win will almost guarantee YSU a playoff spot. (Knock on Wood)
This evening, we just hung around the house. Reagan is totally into her board games lately. She suddenly said, "I'll be right back." She came back from her playroom carrying Micky Mouse Clubhouse Silly Slides. We had a fun time sitting around playing that this evening.
It was a good day for all!
The photo of the day is all of us playing Silly Slides.
Next, is MJ, Nana, Reagan and I on our Fall stroll...
The last photo is Jim watching the game at his mom and dad's. He said he only thought to take picture during commercials, because I asked him who the lady on the TV was. LOL!

Tent Time - 280/365

After the last couple days of warmth, today felt extra cold.
Nana, Reagan and I, hit the trail around 10. It wasn't too bad, but we brought an extra coat in case one of us needed it. Reagan actually asked for it first. She said she wanted to "cover up her friends," so they weren't cold. She had Mr. Fuzzy and Puppy with her. After a few minutes, she put the jacket up over her head. She rode the rest of the way under her "tent". She would occasionally peek out to say something, then go right back under. LOL!
After our walk, we asked her where she wanted to go to lunch and she promptly replied, "Dutch Hause!" It's become one of her favorite places to go, because she's absolutely fascinated with the Disney Princess and Dora cake display at the front of the store. I keep telling her if she keeps working on using the potty, we'll celebrate with a Dora cake.
It was a pretty exciting day at the Dutch Hause, because Reagan finally tried something new. She is an EXTREMELY picky eater. She will RARELY put anything new in her mouth. I have tried jelly numerous times. It was always met with a "shiver" and an "I don't want that." Well today, the waitress set down a jelly carrier and said, "here is some jelly if she wants it." I guess if it's someone other than "mom" giving it to you, it must be good. She asked for it and ate some strawberry AND grape. VICTORY!
This evening, Reagan and Jim went off to art class. Tonight was a Halloween themed project. They made a pretty awesome skeleton. They took black construction paper and glued Q-tips down as the bones. It really came out cute and will be part of our Halloween decor for years to come. I was upstairs when they came home, and she came flying up the stairs to show me. I love when she comes barreling in the house to show me what they made. It just melts your heart!
The photo of the day is Reagan in her "tent."
Next, is Reagan and her new found love for jelly...
 Finally, Reagan enjoying art class...

Walking in a Winter Wonderland - 35/365

Jim is such a great daddy to Brinkley. He ALWAYS makes sure Brinkley gets to go outside whatever the day and whatever the weather. Brinkley gets over walked sometimes in the summer because my mom and I walk every morning around 8, then in the evenings, Jim, Reagan and I go to a wooded trail and "hike". The winter poses some challenges for outdoor sports, especially with a little person, so Jim always makes sure Brinkley gets some form of exercise even if it's just throwing the ball in the backyard. Most of the time though, they go for at least a 10 minute walk down the street. Brinkley really appreciates getting to stretch his legs and he's always so happy when he comes home. If Reagan and I are playing he comes bounding in, wagging his tail, almost like he wants to tell us he had fun.
The photo of the day is Jim and Brinkley heading out for their stroll.....
Brinkley says "Thanks, daddy!"
