Mani/Pedi & Boom Boom - 117/365

Today, Reagan went off to school and came home with a little project, she was so proud of. They made a little rainbow caterpillar. They used a cap as a stamper to make circles on the paper. Then colored in everything else. She is doing so well with crafts and coloring. She has come such a long way since school started. We're so proud of her!
This afternoon, Reagan and I were going to go for some mani/Pedi's to get ready for the beach. We went up to the Raphael School of Beauty. They did a great job! Reagan's technician for her hands was super with her! They bonded immediately and just laughed and talked the whole time! She even stayed and talked with her when her toe technician took over. They had a blast!
Today was a big day at Boardman Rotary for Jim. Boom Boom Mancini was the guest speaker! Everyone was really excited! He was a great speaker and super nice to everyone. They were honored to have him there.

Violet's Birthday - 107/365

Today Reagan and I were heading up to Kent to go to Violet's 4th birthday party! Reagan was so excited to go. She couldn't wait!
The girls had a blast running around the house and playing dolls with Mike's sister.
Deanna made "sushi" out of fruit roll ups, gummy candy and rice Krispy treats. They were loving them. She also had a little craft for them to do. They made little masks. They just loved decorating them. Reagan got home and immediately hung hers up on her bulletin board where she puts all her special stuff.
We had a great time at the party!
Jim spent the day golfing with his dad! They had a great time and played well. Jimmy forgot to take a picture though.
This evening, we just played around the yard. Reagan was loving smelling the magnolia blossoms on our tree. She would get her whole nose down in there!

Monkey Kingdom! - 105/365

Today was a good day.
Jim was up and out early today for his Rotary Board meeting. Things are going well in his presidency and it's almost wrapping up for him. Only a couple more months!
Reagan had a good day at school! She is happy to be back at school after Spring break. They made a beautiful little flower pot art piece. It was SO CUTE!
After school we did a few errands, then headed to ballet. She's doing so great and getting excited for her recital!
This evening, it was a rainy, cold night, so we decided to head out to see a movie. We love the Disneynature movies, so we decided it was a perfect day to catch Monkey Kingdom. It was a fantastic movie. We loved every second. There were a few sad parts that pulled at your heartstrings, but a TON of laugh out load moments, too! We really enjoyed it!

Easter Cookies and a Sundae - 92/365

Today was a busy day!
Reagan was off to school, Jim was off to work and I did some stuff around the house.
Grandma was going to pick Reagan up from school today and she was super excited! They went to spend a little time over her house after school and before ballet. They watched a little bit of Ariel, played dolls and even baked some Easter cookies. They had a great time!
This afternoon after ballet, Nana and I were meeting Papa and Jim at the Shale to head down to the farm for a visit. Grandma Downard hasn't been feeling well, so we wanted to see her before Easter. She's doing OK, but just very weak.
Reagan got to show them her outfit for her recital since we picked it up today. They just loved it! She even did a bit of her dance for them.
Reagan always loves visiting with Zeke, too! She would go and sit with him and have a little conversation. It was so cute. She said "Your hair is black and Brinkley's is gold. You're a good boy."
We had a nice visit and it was good to see granddad and grandma.
After our visit, we headed back to the Shale to have dinner and pick up the car we left there.
Reagan gobbled up all her buttered noodles, so she got to have a little sundae! Well, BIG sundae! She was thrilled.
It was a good day!

Pancakes, Fish and Art! - 81/365

Today was a fun day!
We started back at the pancake festival! Nana, Papa, Ray, Jenny, and they Musilli crew were all meeting for some tasty pancakes! We had a great time visiting with everyone! Reagan was super excited because she got to watch daddy do an on camera interview for WKBN. She loved it!
After pancakes, Reagan and I headed to the grocery store to grab a few things.
Once we were home and I got everything put away, we headed down to the pond to feed the fish our old bread. She was loving that they were back for the Spring! Brinkley came along, too!
This afternoon while we waited for Jim to get home, we just did a few little art projects. She loves doing projects! It's my favorite thing to do with her, too!
Everyone had a nice day!

St. Patricks Day - 76/365

St. Patricks's Day! It was going to be a busy one, too!
We started the day at Reagan's book fair! She was so excited to pick out books. She ended up with six! She kept saying she couldn't wait for bedtime so she could read them.
After we shopped, she headed off to class. They made a shamrock necklace, shamrock hat and got a visit from a leprechaun! They went for a walk and when they came back, the room was all a mess! Reagan kept saying he knocked over the trash can. She just found that so funny! LOL! They loved it!
This evening, we had a little Irish feast. I made Reuben's, pierogies and green beans. I got Jim a six pack of Guinness and I made a Miller Lite green! Reagan enjoyed green mac and cheese with green beans and green milk. For dessert we had cookies decorated for St. Patrick's Day. It was delicious!
This evening, Reagan and I made a few little St. Patrick's Day themed projects. We made Jim a handprint shamrock and Reagan wrote him a little note on it. I got a little carried away and actually told her how to spell lucky, wrong, but I suppose that makes it special! We are so lucky to have him, that we gave him extra letters in lucky! LOL!
Today, Boardman Rotary had another big day! They were able to present a $2500 check to the Salvation Army. Needless to say, they were absolutely thrilled with the donation and hope to be able to do a lot of good with it!
Jim is doing such a great job as president! We couldn't be more proud of him!

Back on TV, Birthday, Booster and a Walk - 71/365

Jim was up and at em early today! He had to go to Boardman High School to do a spot for the community television about the Pancake Festival. He was there with the co-chair Shawn. Jim said everyone was nice and they had a good time. He said it was kind of good to be back in front of the cameras. It brought back some good memories.
Regan had a good time at school today. They made an awesome shamrock and a rainbow with dot pens. We have those same dot pens and she loves them. So, she was a little pro!
One cute story today was, she said that one of her classmates had to sit in the "better choices chair." I had never heard of the better choices chair, but I love the name! LOL! I asked Reagan if she ever had to sit in the better choices chair and she said "NO!" Hopefully, that is actually true!
We took a stroll through the mall today and Reagan picked me out a pair of shoes. I told her I was going to wait till they were on sale. LOL!
This afternoon, we headed down to ballet. Earlier in the day, we stopped at Target and Nana got a high back booster for her car. While Reagan was in ballet, I got it all installed for her. Reagan is so thrilled with her new seats.
This evening, it was Aunt JoAnn's birthday dinner. Nana, Pam and I took her out to the Phoenix to celebrate. It was so yummy and we had a great time chit chatting. It had been awhile, since we had a girls night! Love those ladies.
Jim and Reagan got to actually play outside today. Jim got her Cadillac out, but she was a little intimidated. I think because she got scared when she drove off the shelf at the store. She'll warm up to it in time. She did ride her scooter around and they ended up taking Brinkley for a little walk. They had a good evening.

Coloring & Movies - 56/365

Today I was just going to hang out with Reagan most of the day and just run one errand. I didn't want to go to far with my knee still acting up, but I was ready to get out of the house by lunch time for a little bit.
This morning before we left, Reagan spent some time coloring some Color Wonder Barbie Paper Dolls she got for her birthday. She was loving them! She did such a great job!
This afternoon, Nana, Reagan and I headed over to Target to grab a few things. We did manage to pick up Big Hero 6 on DVD. We never managed to see it in the theater, but we've heard it was great, so we just bought it. Can't wait for movie night.
That was about it for my adventure on my leg. It was a little rough being out and about.
This evening, we played with Reagan and took it easy.

Preschool Valentine's Party - 43/365

Today was Reagan's Valentine Party at school! She was so proud of her box we made and couldn't wait to show the kids.
We worked hard on her little box. She said she wanted a dog box so I let her choose what dog we cut out and the papers we used. She helped me do a lot of the gluing. She was so proud!
We got to the school and loved checking out everyone's boxes. They were all fantastic! There was a Olaf, gumball machine, hot air balloon, basketball hoop, giraffe, all kinds of neat ones! It was so cute to watch them pass out their Valentine's!
They played some super fun games. Pin the heart on the dog, shoot arrows through a hoop, transfer candy hearts from one cup to another! They loved them all.
They did a great craft where they used washable markers to color on coffee filters. The mom's sprayed them with water and the colors bled to cover the whole filter. We let them dry and attached them to straws. When we did that, they looked like an adorable flower. The kids loved them!
After that, they had pizza and cupcakes! They gobbled everything up!
We finally read a book, played a couple games over and then it was time to go!
They all had a great party! It's so cute to watch them all in action! They are a wonderful group of kids!
This evening, Jim, Reagan and I had a fun time going through her Valentines and her little gift bags from some of the kids. She got so many cute ones!
What a fun day!
