Toes in the Snow, Airport Stay - 50/365

Today, school was closed for the cold, yet again. We're not sure if we agree with this, especially since Reagan goes to a private school and gets dropped off, but oh well.
Nana and I had a mani/pedi scheduled for this morning to get all spruced up for Vegas. It always feels so good to get pampered!
It was hilarious because when we left Casals, we had to have flip flops on for awhile since our tootsies were wet. It was snowing like crazy and temps almost below zero. It felt like our toes would fall off!
We also ran Brinkley back up to the vet, because he was still having minor issues. They gave him a gel to squirt on his food, some pills and wanted him on immodium for three days. Along with a diet of ground beef and rice. Hopefully this will finally fix him up!
This evening, Nana, Jenny, Pam and I were heading down to the Pittsburgh airport hotel to spend the night, before our early flight to Vegas. The roads were horrible on the way to the airport. Aunt Pam drove us though and did an awesome job. I am a horrible co-pilot, even in bad weather, but she put up with me well! LOL!
We had some snacks and drinks when we finally got to the airport and then called it a night.
I'm going to miss my hubby, baby and pooch, but we'll have a good time!

Food & Wine & Haircut - 307/365

Today Jim and I were off to the Food & Wine Festival! We try to do our adult trip once a year and this year we decided to take in the festival. It's always hard leaving our baby girl, but it's fun to get away, too!
We were flying out of Akron which is great. Love that little airport!
Our flight was uneventful and got to Disney a little early.
This evening we hit Epcot of course! We started by going "right" which we NEVER do. We sampled a little bit of everything. The worst was the item in Africa. Whew, it was spicy and chewy. YUCK!
We decided to see the France movie tonight. We were the only two in the theaters for awhile until two drunk "talkies" came in. Out of the whole theater, they had to sit RIGHT behind us. Seriously. Oh well!
We had a great first day. Looking forward to our next adventures.
Meanwhile at home, Reagan was spending some time at Nana and Papa's house.
She was actually going to take her and get her hair cut for me at Casal's for her school pictures. She looked absolutely adorable when she was done. Connie blew her hair out a little straight. It looked darling but made her look a little older. It was a cute change, but we all still love the little ringlets.
Everyone had a great day!

Soaring on Soarin' - 233/365

Today we were off to Disney!
We couldn't wait to get there. Even though we were just there over the fourth. It had been too long. We are obsessed.
We were so excited because we were staying at one of our favorite places, Animal Kingdom Lodge. The Lodge has a special place because that's where Jim and I stayed the first time we went together. It was awesome.
Our plane ride was uneventful and we got in right on time.
We got to the Lodge and Jim got us all checked in. Reagan and I had fun roaming around the lobby taking pictures while we waited for Jim. The lobby is just breathtaking.
This evening we were heading over to Epcot for a little bit. Reagan is just a 1/4-1/2 inch short for the big rides in regular sandals. We got her some of those shoes with the lights in the sole and I little gel insert and viola, she was tall enough! She called them her "magic shoes." She was so excited.
With the shoes giving her that extra oomph, she was ready to hit Soarin'. She absolutely LOVED it. She wanted to ride again and again. She was so proud that she could ride a "big kid ride."
Jim and I were happy, but also a little sad. It seemed when we first brought her at 11 months that it would be FOREVER until she could ride the big stuff. We blinked and now she's tall enough. Sigh....time, please slow down!
Ready for her plane ride!

Thumbs up for a Soarin' ride!
So excited to finally ride!

Disney Depression - 187/365

Today we had to head home from our fun holiday weekend. We had such a great time and always hate leaving sunny Florida.
We had our last breakfast at the Pepper Market and we did a little shopping at Downtown Disney before we headed home.
When we finally got to the airport, Reagan was a little wound up. I think it was just exhaustion from all our fun and very late nights for her. She kept crawling under Jim's legs at the airport. It was pretty funny.
When we got on the plane, everything we did for Reagan was wrong. And everything we offered her to do, was wrong. She had a 10 minute meltdown that I'm sure the people around us enjoyed! LOL! In the words of Ruthie "Oh well, what the hell."
Eventually, she did calm down. She hugged on Mr. Fuzzy and took a little snooze. The rest of the flight was uneventful.
When we got home, Brinkley was waiting for us and Nana had stocked the house with groceries. It was great! I unpacked and then we plopped down and watched some television!

Travel Day - 17/365

Travel day today!
We were off to the Pittsburgh Airport to begin our Disney journey with Nana, Papa, Ron, Rachel, Laura, Ron, Sharon, Parker and Milana! We were loading up the car when Ron and Rachel went by a gave us a little honk! They were already on their way!
We all met up at the luggage counter at the airport, got checked in, and were off to the gate. Turns out, our plane was delayed about an hour. There was a little TGI Fridays right across from there, so we sat down and had some snacks and beverages!
Finally it was time to board. The kids did great and the flight itself was pretty uneventful, except for the landing. I think he misjudged by a second because the landing gear really pounded into the ground! Yikes!
We got our car and we were off to Cape Canaveral. We had found a little restaurant online, right near the hotel called, Fishlips. We went straight there and had dinner. It was so YUMMY! We all enjoyed it!
For a travel day, it went pretty smoothly!
The photo of the day is Parker and Reagan waiting for the plane to come in.
