Garden Adventure, Goo Goo Dolls - 158/365

Today, Jim, Reagan and I started our day at Fellows Riverside Garden. 

They were hosting a Garden Adventure event with an Alice in Wonderland theme. It was a pretty cute event. The kids were able to release lady bugs and meet all the characters from Alice In Wonderland. Reagan was having a ball. 

They also had craft stations throughout the garden. They made a Mad Hatter hat out of a brown paper bag, a pop top pin, a maraca, garden name steaks, and a yarn butterfly out of Popsicle sticks. She had a blast! 

 They had little snacks for the kids as well. They made little teacups out of ice cream cones, used a round gummy cut in half for the handle and put grapes inside. It was adorable! They all loved it! It was a great event and we were glad we went. 

This evening, Nana and I were meeting Raymond and Jennifer down at PNC Park for the Pirates game/Goo Goo Dolls concert! Technically called Fan Jam!

Nana and I went to have dinner at Steamers first before we hit the turnpike! We got our favorite appetizer, too, the crab dip bread bowl. To die for! 

We got to Pittsburgh without any problems and even found parking, too! We never go down there without getting lost. It was a major victory! 

The baseball game was good, I think they even won. I do more talking and people watching than I do watching the baseball part. I still enjoy going though! The Goo Goo Dolls came out right after the game. It was so funny to see them just wheel their stage out on these carts. They had it all set up in less than 15 minutes! Amazing! They played for about an hour and did all our favorites. We were happy! It was a fun night out with the Britts! Shoup came down to our seats for a visit. We took a selfie and had the best photobomber ever. She was great! 

 Jim and Reagan had a fun night hanging around the house. They went down to feed "her" fish in the pond at the end of the street and they also took Brinkley for a walk around the 

 neighborhood!

Nature Hour, Garden Day, Tim McGraw - 157/365

Today started with Reagan's, Children's Nature Hour Class at the Ford Nature Center. 

The topic today was "under a log." They were going to learn about all the creepy crawly stuff that lives under logs. They sang their song and read their book We then went into the woods, to look under logs, to see what we could find! They loved it and even Reagan, who is a little skittish around bugs, was into it. They found potato bugs, spiders, slugs, and even a salamander it was so cool! They all just loved the little salamander!  

 When we were done with that, we went back up to the Nature Center to make our craft. They were making a little salamander out of pipe cleaners. It was too, too cute! Reagan carried him everywhere the rest of the day. 

After Nature Hour we headed over to Fellows for Family Garden Friday. They had a lot going on! They had big buckets with bubble solution, limbo, a parachute to sing around. They also got to plant a cucumber to bring home and learned about each part of a plant. It was a great time! Reagan had a ball! 

This evening, Jim and I were off to see Tim McGraw at First Niagara in Pittsburgh! We stopped for dinner at the Shale on the was down. We just love that little place and it's an awesome stopping place on the way to Burgettstown, since their isn't much down there. 

We got to the concert a bit early, so we had some drinks in this patio area. Finally, it was time for Tim! We had AWESOME seats right down by the catwalk. It was great. He was standing RIGHT there the WHOLE time! 

He put on a fabulous show, although he was a bit grumpy about his IFB. He kept ripping it out and putting it back in. Eventually, he ripped it so hard that the plastic tip that sits in your ear, went flying! Yikes! 

A funny thing that happened was, during Indian Outlaw, a young girl dressed head to toe in an Indian costume, hopped right up on stage behind him. He was singing at his stationary microphone and NEVER even saw her before the security guard took her off the stage. It was too funny! 

The best thing that happened was, Tim was bending down, shaking people's hands while he was singing on song. There were people on both sides of the catwalk, so he had his back to us. There was a kid right up at the catwalk, on our side, waving his beer around and actually spilled a little bit on Tim. Tim turned around, gently took the beer off the kid and then tossed the whole thing in his face. They kid was SOAKED and was in total shock! It was HILARIOUS!!! 

It was quite the eventful show. Awesome, too! We had a blast! 

Reagan was going to spend the night with Nana and Papa. They ended up having dinner at Johnny's, then went to Yumberries for dessert! Reagan was thrilled!

Hummingbird Class and Tippy Dinner - 156/365

Today was Tales for Tots class for Reagan at the Ford Nature Center! 

They were learning about Hummingbirds today! Thanks to mommy and Nana, Reagan has lots of experience with them! LOL! She loves to watch them in the yard and help change the nectar in our feeders. 

Today in class, they sang a little song, read a book, then we went outside for a little walk. We stopped in the back yard to check out their hummingbird feeders. We didn't see any customers, oh well. 

Next, we went back in side to do our little craft. Reagan colored her little hummingbird blue, because it's her favorite color. They made little flowers for their birds out of cupcake rappers and little felt pom poms. It was so cute. She was so proud and couldn't wait to show her daddy. 

After class, we went down to the Dutch Hause for lunch. Reagan is in love with this pudding, graham cracker stuff that we call "fluff." She was so excited to get a big plate full! LOL!

This evening, Jim, Reagan and I went to meet Nana and Papa at Tippy for dinner. We hadn't been there in awhile, so it was fun! We had a nice dinner and Reagan was happy to see her friend, Putter.

Maleficent - 155/365

Today was a busy day! 

Nana, Reagan and I started at Gymnastics. I absolutely love how she gets better and better every week! She's getting less hesitant on things and LOVES being up high! We're so proud of her! 

This evening, Jim and I went on a little date to see Maleficent. Jim got to see it the other day and loved it. I couldn't wait! The movie itself was AWESOME and will be one we own for sure. Angelia Jolie was absolutely amazing and I don't think anyone on the planet could have played that part like her. The special effects were so beautiful, too! Just an awesome movie. 

After the movie, Jim and I went over to the Austintown Buffalo Wild Wings to have a little dinner and drinks. We had a nice evening! 

Reagan went to Grandma's to have dinner and play with Papa while we were at the movie. They had a great time together!

Boy Scout Breakfast & Planting - 154/365

This morning, Jim was attending the Boy Scouts of America Breakfast at Camp Stambaugh in Canfield at 7AM. Rotary is one of their big donors, so that's why they got to be there. He said when you parked your car, they took you to the actual meeting down in the woods by limo. Which was kinda cool. The Boy Scouts are hoping to raise funds to keep programs running in the area, fix and repair camps and help those scouts that may need financial support. Jim said it was a great time and very interesting. He was glad he got to be apart of it. He forgot a picture though....LOL! 

Today, I finally got all my planting done! I elminated a couple of our Begonia boarders this year. I went for more pots. I also put in a butterfly/hummningbird perennial garden in the back. There were some bushes back by the deck that we had pulled out in the fall. I hope to attract all kids of pretty friends to our house! We'll see!

 

Mickey Fountain and Porch Party - 153/365

Nana and I were out shopping today and wanted to hit Kmart to look for a deck box. 

They have an AWESOME Garden Center, and I did score my new box. 

While in there, I came across the cutest little, well big (almost as tall as Reagan), Mickey Mouse statues. There was no question they had to come home with me. One was a fountain, where Mickey looks like he's leaning into and drinking from a water fountain. I LOVE HIM! The other is a huge Mickey who is holding a "Welcome" sign. I'm so excited! This evening, we were having our first porch party with Ron, Rachel and the kids. We usually have one or two in by now, but the weather has been so crappy. It was nice to finally have one. 

I was making turkey burgers and roasted zucchini. Rachel was bringing a salad and cupcakes! YUM! 

I had a little problem with the turkey burgers, they disintegrated on the grill. YUCK! I have no idea what the problem was, since we always make them. Thankfully, Jim had gotten a double match of meat, so I tried again using the Foreman Grill. That worked great! 

We had a fun night catching up and the kids had a blast. They loved watching the Mickey water fountain!

More Butterflies and Maleficent - 152/365

Today Jim and his mom were off to see Maleficent and have some lunch after. 

They went to the Austintown theater and LOVED the movie. Jim said it was phenomenal and the special effects were awesome! They really, really loved it. 

After the movie, they went over to Buffalo Wild Wings to have a little snack. They had a really nice afternoon. 

While he was off doing that, Nana helped me finally get the patio furniture out of the garage! It's about freaking time! It was nuts! 

After we did that, we went to have a little lunch of our own at Friday's! YUM! 

When we got back and I got Reagan down for her nap, I continued to Spring clean the garage. Thank god for shop-vacs, the amount of dirt and dead bugs was a bit disturbing! It's clean as a whistle now, though. 

I also spent a little time sitting with the butterflies in the sun. It said when they are this young to not give them too much sun, so I sat just watching them for awhile. The cats seemed pretty interested and sat and watched them with me the whole time, too! It was pretty funny! 

The one butterfly, does have crumbled up wings, so we'll have to figure out what we're going to do about him. I don't think he can fly, so we may not be able to release him. Poor guy! 

The rest are coming along fine and look fabulous! We are really loving this....
