Color Run and a Picnic - 165/365

Today was the long awaited Color Run. We have been so excited to do this, we couldn't wait! Everyone met at our house and we were off to the Covelli Center! We got there to find an amazing amount of people. There was supposedly 6000 people that participated.
We started in our all white gear, we were sparkling clean. We didn't know what to expect when we got to the color stations, but we were excited.
The first color was blue. They were just throwing this powdery, chalky stuff at you and shooting it out of picnic style ketchup bottles, it was a hoot! The air, streets, absolutely everything was BLUE! Too funny!
We walked all through downtown, while passing through the color stations. We got braver and went for more color in each station! Too funny! We were a full blown rainbow by the end.
Reagan really liked the whole thing, too. We brought a stroller, but she pretty much walked the whole time! She was loving it!
At the end, they had the huge colorful arcs in every color that you walked under and they had tons and tons and tons of colored confetti that you could play in, too! We had so much fun taking pictures in the confetti!
After it was over, we were afraid that some of the color wouldn't come off our skin or clothes. When we got home, we got cleaned up and everything came right off, Reagan's bath water turned green though, it was too funny!
Our clothes were as white as when we put them on, after just one trip through the washer. Awesome!
The whole experience was a blast and we can't wait to do it again.
This afternoon, we were headed up to a picnic at Matt and Nikki's house. They were having the whole Cvetkovic family up for an afternoon of family fun.
It was so great to see everyone! We all had a nice time catching up and getting to spend some time together.
Matt and Nikki had quite the spread of food. They did chicken and Nikki's famous ribs. YUM! Everyone else contributed a side or dessert to help out.
The kids had a blast in their bouncy house. They practically spent every minute in there.
Adrienne brought a pinata for them, they all really loved taking a swing at that!
Nikki, also had a special cake for Jim, since he takes over as Boardman Rotary President in two weeks. It was so sweet of her to go out of her way to acknowledge such a special time for Jim.

Garland Cookout - 164/365

Today, we stopped to do our check in for the Color Run tomorrow. 

Wow, the amount of people was crazy! We got checked in and got our little bags full of goodies in no time though. They had it down to a science.  It was quite peppy in there, they had music pumping and everyone was so happy. It should be a really fun time tomorrow! We can't wait! 

This evening, Mike and Amy invited us over for a little cookout! They had quite the spread, too! They made burgers, hot dogs and wings. Jim and I brought pasta and potato salad and a ho ho cake from Classic Bakery. Yum! They all sat real nice and ate dinner together at the kids table. It was so cute. We had a great time chit chatting and the kids had a blast running around the yard together. It was so sweet of them to invite us over!

Jamberry - 163/365

Last Saturday, I got some Jamberry Nail Wraps at a benefit luncheon. I had been really excited to try them out. I bought a couple pairs and won another. I wanted to practice putting them on with the set I won, before I do my ones for the 4th of July. They were really super easy to do! 

First, you select the size for your nail. Next, you have to heat them up. They suggested a hair dryer or even a craft embossing tool. I happened to have the embossing tool, so I used that. They said that one would work the best. Anyway, you heat them up and stick them on and smooth them out. Once they are on then you can trim the tip down with scissors, then file the rest off. It was so easy and even for a first try, it only took about 25 minutes. They looked fabulous and I already sense an addiction forming.

Play day with Nana, Nyah and Niko - 162/365

Reagan was having a play day over at Nana's house today! We were having all kinds of people at the house today. We had window washer's coming, a rep from Gordon Brothers was doing a 90 day check-up on our water softener and a plumber. It was just like Grand Central Station. LOL!

Anyway, Reagan helped Nana do some flower stuff and of course they played cupcakes.

A little while later, they saw that Niko and Nyah were out playing next door. Reagan was super excited! She loves playing with them! The garage was still all decked out from Nyah's Frozen birthday party, so they had a tea party Frozen style and even cruised around in Nyah's pink Cadillac! They had a fabulous time!

This evening, Jim took Brinkley up to the trails at Austintown Park. Brinkley just loves running around there. It started storming, just as they got in the car. It was perfect timing!

Mowing & Bubbles - 161/365

Today, I wanted to get the grass cut, but as the day went on, they were predicting pop up thunderstorms late this afternoon. It was already pretty long, and was supposed to rain the next couple days, so I was afraid to wait. I decided to try to get it done, before Jim got home, but needed to keep Reagan entertained at the same time. While I did the back, she played on her play set. 

The front yard posed more of a challenge. I decided to hook her up with bubbles and some chalk on the front porch. Brinkley stayed with her the whole time, too! I told her if she needed anything, to just go on the sidewalk by the porch and wave her arms. She did wave them once, because she spilled her bubbles...lol! I filled her back up and she was back in business! She blew bubbles the entire time. She did so great and I was able to get the grass all done. Of course, it never did end up raining this evening, so I could have waited for Jim to get home, but i was glad to have it over with anyway.

7th Anniversary - 160/365

Today was our 7th Anniversary! 

Seven years...it's crazy how time flies! 

We've had an awesome seven years of marriage. We've, of course, have our share of ups and downs, but we are better than ever. We're so lucky to have each other and have a blast together, too. Here's to many, many more! 

We do the traditional anniversary gives every year. This year was copper and wool, which was a little tricky. Jim did awesome! He spread my gifts out on the counter and spelled "love" in pennies. It was adorable! I also got copper bird and hummingbird feeders, a copper colored planter, a warm woolen mittens Yankee Candle and a little lamb. SO CUTE! 

I got Jim a copper card with a special message on it that you keep in your wallet, a wool sweater vest and some wool socks. I also got him a new grooming kit in a leather case. It didn't fit with our theme, but he really needed it and was excited. 

To celebrate, Jim's mom and dad came over to watch Reagan, while we went up to the Phoenix for dinner. We had a great evening!

My presents....

Tractor Accident Graduation - 159/365

Today we were excited because we were invited to Mike Kenny's (the tractor accident guy) daughter's graduation party. We had been in contact by cards and stuff via mail around Christmas time, but haven't seen him since we visited him in rehab. 

We walked in and he looked great! He was standing up, healthy and happy. He was so appreciative that we came. It was really great to see him and were so honored we could share in his special day. 

His family was so nice. It was really great to be able to meet his wife and five kids. They are all so great! It was a very nice day. 

After that party, Raymond and Jennifer asked us to stop out at Jennifer's nephew's graduation party, since it was right by the Kenny's party. We swung over there and it was nice to see all of Jenn's family. We love walking around Jenn's parent's yard, too, to look at all their beautiful flowers. Reagan was in rare form and acting up a little bit. She wouldn't leave the back yard at one point. It was a hoot!
