Godzilla and Grandma - 137/365

Today was a busy day for everyone.
Jim started his day in Salem for a Rotary Seminar at 7am. He's really gearing up for his presidency. He's nervous, but excited, too! He will do great! He said his meeting was good and uneventful.
After his meeting, he met his mom and dad to see Godzilla in Austintown. They had been really wanting to go, so they finally made it there today. They all really liked it! Jim said there were a couple parts that were hilarious because they were beyond your usual "farfetchedness"  for a movie. LOL!
After the movie, they stopped at Ruby Tuesday's for some lunch!
While they were doing that, Nana, Papa, Reagan and I took a ride down to Grandad Downard's house for a little visit. They just love seeing Reagan and watching her play. We had a nice visit and Reagan loved seeing Zeke, of course! She even made them cupcakes from her world famous cupcake game! They loved them!
The first picture is of Reagan and Grandma Downard.
Next, Greg and Nikki at Godzilla
Finally, Jim's meeting...

Kathleen Madigan - 136/365

Today, we went to the Cracker Barrel for lunch with Raymond. Reagan insisted on wearing her Tinkerbell wings and Elsa crown to lunch. It was the funniest thing! She LOVED it! She looked adorable, too! We were busting.
After lunch, we headed out to Chuck's Greenhouse to check out their hanging baskets. They are always so huge. It's awesome. Reagan had fun this time, because they had two puppies that were barely a year old. The puppies loved her and gave her lots of kisses. She was in heaven!
This evening, Reagan was going to be spending the night at Grandma and Papa Greg's while we headed off to Cleveland. We were seeing Kathleen Madigan tonight. Super fun!
Nana, Papa, Jim and I had dinner at the Blue Wolf on the way into town. We just love it there, especially the Canyon Chips! YUMMY!
We got into town with no trouble, except a little parking issue. Jim and Papa dropped us off while they headed over to a deck. It worked out just fine! We were meeting Raymond, Jennifer and two of Jennifer's friends.
Kathleen was HILARIOUS! She made fun of just every day news stories, and cruises. She went on a comedy cruise and had never cruised at all before. She was joking how amazing the ships were. She told a story about a friend, who had also never been on a cruise, who was asking all about it. Kathleen told her it would just be like standing in the Bellagio in Las Vegas and it just floated away. It was a hoot. It was a great show and we really enjoyed it!
Reagan had a great time at Grandma and Papa Greg's. They played lots of games and read stories. Chased Timmy, too!
The first is Reagan at lunch with her wings and crown.
Next, Reagan with her puppy pals
Next, Nana and I at Kathleen Madigan waiting for Jim and Papa
Finally, Reagan and Papa Greg playing some games.

Caterpillars - 135/365

Today, Reagan received her Caterpillars! She was SO EXCITED!
We got the kit from Toys R us awhile ago, but had to wait till the weather got nice to actually grow them. You had to enter a code on the Insect Lore Website and they sent you two cups of five caterpillars.
When we opened the box, I thought they might be dead, because they didn't move AT ALL! Reagan was stoked and didn't care that they weren't moving. She carried those two cups around the house showing the caterpillars every room of their new home. It was too cute!
Eventually, they did start moving around. It was nice, because you really didn't have to do much for them. We just set them on a shelf and checked in on them. They had everything they needed right there in the cup! It was awesome! Can't wait to see if we actually get butterflies!

Salvation Army Dinner - 134/365

This evening, Jim was attending a Salvation Army Civic Dinner at the Lake Club with some other fellow Rotarians.
Boardman Rotary was receiving the Distinguished Community Service Award this evening. The club, over the past ten years, has been able to donate over $400,000 to local projects in the community, thanks to their two biggest fundraisers, Oktoberfest and the Pancake Breakfast. Jim is so proud to be apart of a club that does such good for the community. He said he had a really nice time and was happy to be apart of it.
While he was doing that, Nana, Reagan, Raymond, Jennifer and I went and had dinner at the Phoenix this evening. We had a great time chit chatting and even bumped into the Musilli Crew! It was fun chatting with them, too! Good day for all!
Next, all of us at dinner....

Mowing and Rascal Flatts - 133/365

Reagan was going to spend the day and night at Nana and Papa's, so I could get caught up on some chores and the grass. The grass was out of control and it's supposed to rain the rest of the week, so I had to get out there.
It was a mess and took literally 4 hours to do! I had to keep stopping every couple rows to clean the wheel wells out on the rider. Grass was just clumping and building up under there. I was wishing I had one of those bagging systems today!
What lessened the pain of 4 hours of yard work was the new Rascal Flatts album! It came out today and I got to listen to it a couple times in a row and I LOVE every single song! It was awesome!! Reagan and Nana actually went out to Best Buy to pick up some hard copies, too!
Can't wait for the double header this summer!
Next, Reagan showing off the new Rascal Flatts ornaments.

Garden Center - 132/365

The day after Myrtle Beach is usually garden center day!
I can't wait to get my flowers in and my hummingbird feeders up! Today was no different.
Nana, Reagan and I hit Petitti's and found some great stuff. There is one spot in the backyard, where I'm going to do a perennial garden with all stuff for butterflies and hummingbirds, so I got a lot of stuff for that! Can't wait to get it in! Reagan was helping and she was picking up all kinds of stuff and putting it on my cart. At one point, I heard her ask, "Mama, is this beautiful?" I turned around and she had a flat, almost as big as her! It was a HOOT! I was busting!
The photo of the day is Reagan and her flat...

Mother's Day - 131/365

Waking up in Beckley is a Mother's Day tradition for us and I wouldn't have it any other way.
It's great waking up and cuddling with my two favorite people.
We're never in a huge hurry to get going, it's nice. We lay around and then they usually surprise me with a couple presents. This year, I got a DVD, a Yankee Candle gift card, so I could get all my summer candles. I also got a little stuffed Scout from the Disneynature Bears movies. I loved him!
We finally packed it up, hit the McDonald's and were on our way! We got home right on schedule. I unpack immediately and start laundry. I can NOT relax until stuff is put away or waiting in laundry baskets for the wash. I'm strange.
I got home to a few more suprises, too! My mommy gave me a Disney Gift Card. Jim's mom gave me an iTunes gift card. There was also a beautiful hanging basket on my hook from Ray and Jenny! I'm a pretty lucky girl!
It was a perfect Mother's Day for me!
Love being a mommy to this sweet little girl!
