Today, Reagan was spending the day with Grandma. They had a good time playing together.
Brinkley and I decided we were going to go on a walk this afternoon. It was pretty hot, but we were going to go to the Kirk Road trail which is pretty shaded, so I thought we would be OK.
We got halfway down the path and Brinkley just QUIT. He refused to walk anymore. I had a water bottle and gave him a little drink. We found a bench to sit on for a short time. Finally he was ready to go again. We didn't go much farther, I didn't want to torture the poor guy. LOL!
This evening, Jim had a late Rotary meeting, so Reagan and I spent some time walking around the yard.
We decided to check on some of our crops! We are growing all kinds of stuff. We were so excited when we finally saw a little pumpkin growing on one plant and we had a little pickling cucumber on another. Reagan was amazed!
Next we decided to walk around the house, to check on all sides. We had noticed awhile ago that some pigeons made a nest on our bracket for our old DirectTV dish. The babies were so cute! We noticed one baby was still in the nest and one was sitting by the bushes below. Reagan made friends with him, she sat and talked with him. It was so cute!
We ended our night with a trip to the pond to feed the fish! It was a nice summer evening!
