It was Tales for Tots day!
Today they were studying crickets! They read their book and then had a contest who could jump the farthest like a cricket. It was so cute because some of them didn't jump to the line, they just quickly ran. It was cute!
After that, we took a walk to the high grass behind the Ford Nature Center. Everyone got a net to sweep through the grass to try to catch a few. A couple people caught crickets, but Nana had the prize winner. She caught some type of caterpillar. It was HUGE!! We still never found out what kind he was but it was fascinating.
Finally, we went back up to make the cricket craft. They made a little green cricket out of a toilet paper roll. It was darling. Reagan was so proud of her little friend!
This evening, we all went over to visit with Jim's mom and dad for a little bit. Greg made his famous grilled chicken and pineapple! It was delicious. We had a nice evening.
