Today was another winter weather advisory. JOY!
Thankfully, we didn't have anywhere far to go.
We were heading over to Tippy for their Winter Celebration for the kids. The "Frozen Sisters" were there along with their snowman friend.
It started with a yummy brunch buffet. They had eggs, waffles, mac and cheese, chicken frances and some other yummies. It was delicious!
After the brunch, the special guests arrived. They went around to the tables to visit the kids. Then they performed a story and did some dancing. It was a lot of fun. Reagan was being a little shy, but still had a great time!
Before we left, we gave Papa a couple of his birthday presents, since today was his actual birthday! We gave him a couple framed pictures from Reagan's Frozen birthday party, since it was a Frozen day! We had a fun morning.
This afternoon, Jim, Reagan and Brinkley went out to play in the snow for a little bit. When they headed out, they happened to see a little opossum in the yard. He looked sad and hungry in the snow. I did a quick google search about opossoms and learned they come out in the daytime in the winter, because the nights are too cold for them to find food. With all the snow, we thought he may be hungry. It said they will eat just about anything, including dog food. I ended up making him a little plate of fruit and dog food. Jim walked right over to him and set it down. The opossum ate every single bite and then disappeared. Hopefully his little snack gave him enough energy.
Jim, Reagan and Brinkley had a good time playing in the snow! Reagan just loves it! I was sad I couldn't participate with this stupid leg, but I enjoyed watching them!
