Busy day today!
We got up and got dressed for the day. Reagan had gotten a small scratch on her leg yesterday and we're not even sure how she did it. She never alerted us to it when it happened. Anyway, she insisted on having a band-aid put on it this morning. She has never had a cut bad enough for a band-aid yet, even this one didn't really need one. Jillian had gotten a bad cut down in Corolla and she wore a band-aid on it all week. Reagan was always commenting on it, so I think that's where the fascination came from. We thankfully, had some princess band-aids that Aunt Nikki had got her before she was even born, so we whipped out Cinderella! She was so excited and even put up quite the protest at bath time, when I took it off. Awww, her first band aid...that's something.
Anyway, first thing this morning, Nana, Reagan and I went out to White House Fruit Farms for pick your own strawberries. We went for the first time last year and it was so fun! It was great having tons of super fresh berries around!
We pulled into the field at 8:30 and it was already packed! There were people everywhere! They are very official and have it down to a science. They start by assigning you an area. Then, you have to place a flag where you stop picking, so they know where to put the next people. The strawberries were HUGE and they were all perfectly red! Reagan did more munching then picking. I would grab a berry out of her mouth and sure enough, she would get another one in there...ay, yi, yi. We had an absolute blast though! She loved carrying around the baskets for us! We each got 8 quarts of berries!
This afternoon, I cleaned a bunch to eat now, and the rest, I will freeze for our smoothies! YUM!
After berry picking, we went to Bob Evans for some breakfast.
We headed home and then, Jim's mom came to pick up Reagan. She had asked, for her playtime this week, if she could take Reagan to Fellows Riverside Garden with Mabel. I had a MUCH NEEDED hair appointment scheduled at 12:30, so they went and enjoyed the gardens, while I got beautiful! It was perfect! They had a great time and I hear Reagan was all into checking out the bugs.
She's starting to get into bugs, which is kinda creepy...LOL!
After nap time and Jim getting home, Jim, Reagan, Brinkley and I, all went out for a quick stroll around the neighborhood before the storms. (We're supposed to have pretty bad thunderstorms and wind tonight. Yikes!) Reagan INSISTED on wearing my flip flops on the walk. It was hilarious!
When we came home, we ended up sitting on the deck for a bit. Reagan was playing in her little house and cooking us some plastic dinner, when I noticed a "smell" coming from her. Daddy, being the saint he is, offered to take care of it. They went in and a few minutes later, came back outside. Reagan came through the door and said, proud as proud could be, "I don't have a turd anymore!" I about DIED! It was hilarious!
After her announcement, she went on to water some of the flowers on the deck for me. She just had a tiny bit of water left in her little can, so when she was out, she went in search of my can. She ended up spilling what was left in my can, all over the deck. Brinkley happened to walk over and started licking the water. Well, didn't that little silly, bend down like the dog and tried to start LICKING the deck, too! LOL! Oh, it's always an adventure with her!
What a day, but it was GREAT!
There ended up being three photos for today....
The official one is Reagan in the strawberry patch....
The next is Reagan's first band-aid...
And lastly, her tiny feet in my huge flip flops, from our walk.
