I was struggling to find something to photograph today, nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary was going on. I ran some errands this morning with my mom and Jim's mom was hanging out with Reagan. It was just a regular day. Jim, Reagan, Brinkley and I were standing in the driveway getting ready to stroll around the neighborhood and I was telling him, "it's 5:30 and I still don't have a picture". As we were walking down the driveway, I happened to glance over at our tree in the side yard. I squealed, "Oh look! It's finally budding!" I get so excited to see the red tint on the trees when the buds are starting to come out. That's a sure sign we made it, and summer is on the way! YAY! We'll there you have it, the budding tree is my photo of the day!
One different thing that did happen today, that I now wish, I would have taken a picture of is Buckley! My mom and I stopped at the Dutch Hause for lunch. When I was getting out of the car, the car next to us had a beautiful Golden Retriever in the back seat. The windows were down so I said "Beautfiul golden, they are just fantastic dogs!" She said, "He's not mine, I found him running in the street. I don't know what to do." He looked well taken care of and had an invisible fence collar on. She was meeting someone for lunch that said he would help her. We wished her luck and said we would keep our fingers crossed. We were eating lunch and suddenly, the lady walked over and said they found his home. There was a vet's office near by, so the vet scanned him for a microchip and thankfully he had one! His owner was on the way to get him! His name was Buckley and he was precious!
We were so thankful for a happy ending!
