Last Beach Day - 131/365

Today is our last day at the beach....bummer.
We were only driving to Beckley, which is only six hours, so we decided to stay around the condo till around one.
We woke up, got most of the stuff packed and headed for the inlet. The tide was going out, but the inlet was still a little deep. The one place we usually cross, you couldn’t even see the bottom, creepy! There was a ton of dead jelly fish floating around, too. We almost gave up and used the Ocean Creek bridge to cross over, but we saw a young girl braving the water. She crossed and was only up to her waist, so we decided to give it a go, as well. I went across with our bag and camera and Jim carried Reagan. It really wasn’t too bad! We hit the back creek and spotted a ton of Blue Crabs. I took a couple swipes with my net and got a huge one. He was so COOL! We all loved checking him out. His little arms were like a bright royal blue. We finally freed him from the net, and away he went back to the water. Reagan was so cute and started waving bye to him….LOL!
We walked around, but didn’t find much else. Some little boys spotted some flounder, but when we got over to where they said they were, they were gone. They did ask if they could borrow our nets, lol! We said we were leaving today and wanted to keep them, they looked bummed.
After playing in the inlet, we hit the lazy river one last time, then headed up stairs.
Reagan checked for her fountains, one last time, with no luck. Poor thing.
We hit the road around 1:30 and it was smooth sailing. We only hit one patch of rain. Reagan looked out the window, saw the rain and said, “Oh Goodness, it not apposed to wain!” LOL!
We got to Beckley right at 8:00. We always stay at the Marriott and there is an Applebee’s right next door. Nana and Papa got there first and put our name in. We had about a 15 minute wait, but there was a ton of open tables. They were a little slow going at Applebee’s. LOL! We had some yummy snacks and hit the room for some rest. Reagan and I curled up in the bed and she fell right to sleep. When Jim was done with his shower, he picked her up and put her to bed. We were all pooped! For travel day, it went pretty smoothly! It’s always sad to leave the beach! We all have such a great time together. Precious family time!
The photo of the day is our Blue Crab.....

The extra picture is Reagan looking for the fountains one last time.... :(
