Cinderella, Bugs and Mustaches - 314/365

It was going to be a busy day today!
Our first stop was going to be Animal Kingdom.
For our anniversary this year, we decided we would splurge on another Disney family photo shoot, like we did on Reagan's first trip to Disney. It was so fun and the pictures came out gorgeous. We had them taken at Epcot last time, so this time, we chose Animal Kingdom.
We met our photographer, Ty, at the drums. He was super nice and got some great shots! Reagan was awesome! She stood still and smiled right on cue. We had a great time! The very last shot, he asked if we wanted to do something funny. We said, "sure!" He pulled out a package of fake mustaches. He had us hold up a picture frame and put the mustaches on. They even offered to take a picture with my camera. It was so funny! We can't wait to see the pictures!
After the photo shoot, we decided to stay and play in the Animal Kingdom. We went for a ride on the safari. It was probably one of the best ones, we've had in a while. All of the animals were right there. We got to see the baby giraffe and baby elephant. They were precious!! Even the rhinos where right there. Which is kind of unnerving when you see their size.
After the safari, we decided to have lunch at Pizzafari. We really like that little quick service place. We scarfed down our pizza and decided to hit one more attraction before taking a break. We were going to check out It's Tough to be a Bug, since there is never a wait. We got our 3D glasses and were on our way in. It started out OK, but when the termite spit water on us, Reagan wigged out!! She started bawling. Luckily, we were in the back row, so Jim just hopped over the back, and took her outside. When it was over, I found them on a bench right outside. Reagan was OK, by then. I asked her what happened, she said, "I didn't like when that 'dog' spit water on my pants." LOL! She was more mad that there was actual water on her pants, then scared, I think.
After that, we decided to head back to the room for a little rest. It had been a late night, the night before and an early morning for pictures. Reagan went right to sleep, which was great.
After nap time, we were off to Epcot for the evening! We had dinner reservations at eight, so we had some time to play before we headed over. We rode Nemo first. Reagan was a little afraid of the seagulls out front. I think she thought they looked like the termite in It's Tough to be a Bug. She said, "I don't want them to spit water on me." LOL!
Next, we hit the Character Spot! They just re-did it and it looks great! All the characters were fabulous with her. We saw, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy.
Next, we were off to World Showcase. We still had a little time, so we went to ride the Mexico ride. We had about a 10 minute wait, which we have NEVER experienced. Epcot was PACKED! There were people everywhere. It was the second to the last night of the Food & Wine Festival, so we think a lot of locals were there.
Finally, we went over to Norway. We were having dinner at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, which is a princess character meal. Reagan was pretty pumped up. We saw Belle, right when we checked in and got our picture with her. She was so sweet with Reagan.
After that, we were escorted over to our table. The food was really good and we were enjoying ourselves, when out of nowhere, popped Aurora! Reagan scrambled to get her autograph book. She must have told her three times, to "color" in her book. When she was done, Aurora was trying to talk to her and Reagan just kept saying, "No, you have to put my pen back in here." Aurora looked up at us, smiled and said, "My, she is a very organized princess." It was a hoot, because she SO is!
Next up, was Cinderella! She was great to her, too! Just then, it was the Royal Procession around the room. All the little kids got to parade around the dining hall. Cinderella took Reagan by the hand and led her around. It was so adorable! Reagan just chatted with her the whole time.
Finally, Ariel and Snow White showed up. Reagan's bracelet got stuck in Ariel's hair. You could sense there was some panic that her hair would "get ruined." LOL! We got it out with no disaster! Reagan was too funny with Snow White, too. She asked her, "Why are your sleeves so puffy?" She said, "they are kind of puffy, huh? I will have to have my birds work on that." It was so cute!
All in all, she was so pumped up to be there with them. When they would show up, she would say, "get me out" of her highchair to give hugs.
We had a great first full day! Looking forward to the adventures ahead!
The photo of the day is Reagan and her pal, Cinderella.
Next, "Thumbs down, It's Tough to be a Bug."
Finally, our crazy photo from our photo shoot.
