Hollywood Studios - 317/365

We were off to Hollywood Studios today!
We slept in a little bit, since we were at the Magic Kingdom so late the night before. We didn’t get there till almost 11.
Our first attraction was the Beauty and the Beast show. We hadn’t stopped to see this in a few years, so we were excited! They do a fabulous job with this show. Reagan was really into it!
Next, we headed over to the Animation Courtyard. We stopped for a meet and greet with Sofia the First. She looked beautiful and her gown was amazing!
After that, we went into the Disney Junior stage show. They just re-did it, to include, Sofia, Doc McStuffins, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Reagan liked it the old way, but we thought she would really be into it now. We were right, her amazement was so fun to watch. The most precious thing was watching her sing along to all the songs. She loved it!
We were off to the Ariel show, next. We got the front row. It “rains” during this show, so we got sprinkled on a little bit. Reagan is weird about getting wet with clothes on, so she just kept saying, “Mama, I’m getting wet.” It was barely a mist, so that was pretty funny.
Now, we were all a bit hungry, so we were off to look for some lunch. We never make reservations for Hollywood Studios, so we were just going to wing it. The Studios was SLAMMED today! Every place was full. Jim said he was planning on hitting the Disney Junior Character lunch, because it’s always a walk up, but that was a no go. We ended up at Pizza Planet, which worked out just fine. It was faster and pretty yummy. Disney has the best cupcakes, (next to Georgetown) so we got two of those. One was pumpkin and one was cappuccino. Totally AMAZING! YUM!
After we were full, we walked around looking at where the Osborne Spectacle of Lights would be. It looked like it would be amazing! We were excited. On our way, we stumbled on a crazy, character meet and greet. They had characters just standing along this street, with no lines. It was something. It was characters that are hard to find, too! There was, Pocahontas, Jasmine, Penguins, Pinocchio, the witch from Snow White and a few others. It was fun!
Once we got most of them, we went over to the Great Movie Ride. The wait was finally down to 20 minutes. We got on and Reagan was doing pretty well, until the gun fight scene. She was all nestled down under my arm. She perked back up during the Wizard of Oz scene, UNTIL, the Wicked Witch showed up. We were RIGHT next to her, so Reagan was quite nervous. Once we got to the end, where you just watch clips from movies, Reagan kept saying, “Mama, we have to go. We have to get out! Mama, this TV won’t move!” It was so funny. She wanted to make a break for it. Once we were finally back outside, she looked up at us and said, “Mama, Dada, that witch didn’t get Mr. Fuzzy!” It was so precious! Then, she went on to say, “Mr. Fuzzy was a good boy on that ride!” Melt your heart!
After that, we decided to head back over and do the Disney Junior show again, since she really seemed to like it the first time around. Totally into it the second time, too!
Jim and I decided, we would each take one attraction that Reagan couldn’t do, and ride it. My pick was Rockin’ Rollercoaster. I hopped in the single rider line and was on and off in 15 minutes! I LOVE that coaster. The G-force at the beginning is so fun!
Jim picked Star Tours for his adult ride. He was also on and off in 15 minutes!
Next, we stopped to see Lightning McQueen and Mater. They don't talk like, in Disneyland, but they are still really cool to see!
After that, we walked over the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights. How AMAZING this was! WHOA! The amount of lights is just stunning. Every ten minutes they put on a “show” where they blink and flash to the music. It really was jaw dropping. Oh, and it snowed, too! So cool! Disney got the “show” from a family in Arkansas. The daughter asked her dad for Christmas lights one year, and he went all crazy with them. People would come and really tie up traffic trying to see his displays. Eventually, it got so big, neighbors filed lawsuits, so they had to stop doing it. Disney got wind of the national story and contacted them to see if they could take the concept and they accepted. So now, Disney puts on the show for him. Amazing!
After we spent some time in the lights, we booked it over to try to see the last showing of Fantasmic. We got right in and had pretty good seats. It's a pretty great show, but Reagan was not thrilled with the giant snake and dragon. We asked her why she didn't like the dragon, she said, "He spit fire out of his dragon mouth. Is that how they say hello?"
After Fantasmic, we decided to head back to the resort and have some dinner. We just got some food from the food court, then called it a day! We were pooped by this time.
The photo of the day is the amazing, Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights.
Next, Reagan at the Disney Junior show...
Finally, us with Lightning McQueen and Mater...
